PlayStation Plus will feature one of 2024's top games in May.

Sony has just revealed the PlayStation Plus lineup for May 2025, and it’s impressive. Expect giant space marines armed with bolt guns, armored dinosaurs, and a card game that combines elements of Poker and roguelikes, all available starting May 6. You have until then to claim the games from April if you haven’t done so yet.
First up is Balatro for PS4 and PS5 users. This indie title has garnered considerable attention, winning more awards than many AAA games. At the Game Awards, it secured titles such as Best Debut Indie Game, Best Independent Game, and Best Mobile Game — and rightly so. Balatro is a deck-building game with a unique twist; it utilizes a standard deck of playing cards, where certain cards possess abilities and multipliers that assist you in achieving the highest possible score.
Next is Ark: Survival Ascended, exclusively for PS5 players. This remastered version of Ark: Survival Evolved has been rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5 and includes essential quality of life updates. It grants access to all of Ark's worlds and features split-screen multiplayer for two players, private online multiplayer for up to eight players, and public multiplayer accommodating 70 players per session.
The third and final title is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, a high-octane shooter that immerses players in the Warhammer 40,000 universe with a nostalgic 90s graphic style. It captures the essence of classic shooters with its explosive action and gore. However, it’s important to note that Boltgun offers only a single-player experience, despite its potential for a casual multiplayer mode.
All three games will be available for download from May 6 until June 2, so be sure not to miss out.

3 PlayStation Plus games to enjoy this weekend (March 14-16)
The start of March may be light on upcoming PS5 titles, but the long-awaited Assassin's Creed Shadows is just around the corner. Until then, we have an entire weekend to fill, making your PlayStation Plus subscription all the more valuable. The Essential games for March are exceptionally strong, while the Extra and Premium game libraries offer an enticing selection to get you excited for major upcoming releases like Death Stranding 2. Alternatively, it’s a perfect opportunity to discover a fun, bite-sized game to keep you entertained until next week's launches arrive. As always, I’ve curated a list of the best games on PlayStation Plus for you to play this weekend.
Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut
Before Shadows was even announced, Ghost of Tsushima was considered the Japanese AC game that Ubisoft should have released long ago. While this comparison may oversimplify things, the similarities are undeniable, and both games will likely be directly compared. Whether or not you plan to play Shadows, Ghost remains an outstanding game that showcases some of the best graphics on PS5. Discovering the vibrant island of Tsushima by following the wind and animals instead of traditional waypoints allows for a deeper appreciation of the world you’re fighting to protect. If you haven’t experienced the Director's Cut content, revisiting the game for the Iki Island DLC is arguably the highlight.

Despite some unnecessary pre-launch controversy, the game is an enjoyable action RPG featuring engaging characters and ample reasons to immerse yourself in this epic fantasy realm. You’ll create a character named Rook, who leads the Veilguard on a mission to prevent two ancient gods from wreaking havoc on the world. With various classes to choose from, different weapon types to experiment with, and a charming cast to bond with, this title is a fantastic deal as part of your subscription.
