It is well-known that Nvidia produces some of the finest graphics cards, and this holds true for laptops as well. Consequently, mobile gamers with limited budgets are eagerly anticipating gaming laptops that feature Nvidia’s RTX 5060. Today, we received our first benchmarks for these laptops, and the results are quite promising.
It is important to mention that the RTX 5060 is not yet available. The desktop version is expected to be released in May, but the timeline for the laptop version remains uncertain. Nevertheless, with the initial benchmarks of the mobile version now available, it suggests that the laptops cannot be far behind. Still, until they are released and reviewed, take the following information with caution.
The leaked Geekbench tests include two Colorful laptops. While this brand may not be the most recognized Nvidia laptop manufacturer, it is evidently preparing to introduce some new devices. One of the tested laptops, the Colorful iGame M15 Origo, seems to be an entirely new model that has not yet appeared on the manufacturer's website.

Now, let's review the scores. Geekbench isn't the best indicator of gaming performance, but it is all we have for now; there are two OpenCL benchmark scores. The iGame M15 Origo achieved 102,564 points, while the P15 Pro reached 109,431 points. According to VideoCardz, these scores suggest that the RTX 5060 laptop GPU could be approximately 18% faster than its predecessor.
An 18% increase is a decent start, and we may see even better results when the laptops are tested in gaming scenarios. Nvidia’s transition to GDDR7 memory could significantly benefit these budget-friendly GPUs by providing the necessary bandwidth. We will have to wait for additional benchmark scores to be released.

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti might be 20% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti
Recent leaks have resurfaced regarding Nvidia's upcoming RTX 5060 Ti 16GB graphics card, indicating a notable performance boost over its predecessor. Data gathered by VideoCardz reveals that the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB exceeds the performance of the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB by roughly 20% in synthetic tests, while it lags behind the RTX 5070 by nearly 33%. The leaked benchmark results primarily come from tests in 3DMark's suite, including SpeedWay, Steel Nomad, Port Royal, Fire Strike, and Time Spy, suggesting a generational advancement for the RTX 5060 Ti compared to the RTX 4060 Ti.
New affordable Nvidia-powered gaming laptops may be coming soon
Although Nvidia's leading graphics cards are now featured in laptops, gamers are still hoping for more budget-friendly choices. Some laptops with the RTX 5090 cost upwards of $5,000. Fortunately, new leaks indicate that Nvidia is preparing to launch additional mainstream laptops, which will include GPUs that have yet to be announced. VideoCardz has noted that several Nvidia partners are set to release new laptops, this time with the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050. The fact that we've heard about these GPUs before adds some credibility to the speculation, but it's wise to manage expectations until Nvidia officially reveals them.
