GOG brings back a classic RPG over twenty years after its original release.
Capcom
Over twenty years after its initial release, the cult-classic JRPG Breath of Fire IV has made its way back to PCs through the GOG Preservation Program. The game originally landed on PC in 2000 (2003 for Europe and Japan), but it has been criticized for being a rather mediocre port from the start.
To begin with, Breath of Fire IV was intended for 240p screens. Even state-of-the-art upscaling methods don’t quite do it justice, and early users claim that even GOG’s revised version requires some adjustments to eliminate blurriness. However, the updated version comes with numerous bug fixes and enhancements that significantly improve playability on contemporary systems (including the removal of DRM).
According to GOG, Breath of Fire IV is fully compatible with Windows 10 and 11, offers both English and Japanese localizations, and features a variety of rendering options. It also reinstated previously missing environmental sounds and improved keyboard and mouse support, while addressing crashes that could happen during battles. Notably, this latest version includes complete controller support.

GOG claims that as part of the GOG Preservation Program, Breath of Fire IV is “the best version of this game available on any PC platform.” The game was selected after more than 23,000 votes from players who wanted it included in the GOG Dreamlist, a collection of titles the community wishes to update and preserve.
For those who haven't experienced the Breath of Fire series yet, this is an excellent chance. While the games clearly show their age, they possess a timeless charm with their cartoonish, sprite-based graphics and pixelated fruit. You can expect to invest a significant amount of time in it too; just completing the story will take over 30 hours, and completionists may find themselves doubling that time. Additionally, if you're not interested in purchasing it on PC, it is also available through the Nintendo Switch Online library.

If you have an LG TV, you might have received a significant Xbox upgrade
If you’ve been considering buying an Xbox, you might want to think about upgrading your TV instead. Certain smart LG TVs have just received the Xbox App, enabling gamers to stream games directly from the Internet without needing a console. With an Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can access hundreds of titles from its cloud gaming catalog — and through the Buy and Stream service, you can buy specific games and play them, even if they aren't part of the Game Pass offerings.
However, there is a requirement: you need a compatible LG TV for this to function. Xbox states, "Available on LG TVs with webOS 24 or newer versions. This includes select models from 2022 and 2023 that have been updated to software version 23.20.01 or higher, such as the 2022 OLED TVs and the 2023 OLED, QNED, Nanocell, and UHD models." The press release also mentions that LG smart monitors with webOS 24 or later are compatible as well.
Where to find the 9 lost Gestrals in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
One of the initial side quests you’ll encounter in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 tasks you with locating all of Sastro’s lost Gestrals. There are nine in total, and given the vastness of the overworld in this turn-based RPG, finding them all can be challenging.
Some of these Gestrals are easy to find and located along your journey to defeat the Paintress, while others are more obscure and can only be accessed in the later hours of your playthrough. If you can defeat a Burgeon, you can certainly find all the Gestrals, so we’ll guide you through each of their locations and reveal what you receive for collecting them all.
