The launch lineup for the Nintendo Switch 2 has become more appealing for Sega enthusiasts, as Sonic X Shadows Generations, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S are all set for release on June 5. Preorders for these titles (among others) will start on April 24, and improvements have been made to each of these three games to provide Nintendo Switch 2 players with additional features.
Sonic X Shadow Generations boasts upgraded graphics and gameplay, along with a complete remaster of Sonic Generations that includes bonus content. It's particularly interesting for fans of Sonic's storyline as it elaborates on why Shadow is deemed the "ultimate lifeform." You can place a preorder for the game at a price of $50 starting tomorrow.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S stays true to the beloved puzzle game format but introduces new features and game modes. The newly added Puyo Tetris Doubles Mode utilizes the mouse controls of Switch 2 and introduces competitive 2v2 battles on a single board. Players can enjoy a selection of 40 different characters, featuring familiar characters from Sonic the Hedgehog. The expected price for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S is $40.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup is expanding with several cross-generational titles and exclusive Switch 2 games that make the console an even more attractive purchase.

Nintendo secures a major console exclusive for Switch and Switch 2
Supergiant has officially announced that Hades 2 will be a launch exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, although it will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at a later time. Supergiant made the announcement in the latest Creator's Voice from Nintendo, where studio leaders Greg Kasavin, Amir Rao, and Darren Korb discussed the development journey and the new gameplay elements introduced in the sequel.
Hades 2 marks the studio's first sequel and serves as a direct continuation of its predecessor, a game that garnered multiple Game of the Year awards. Previously, all of its titles were standalone like Bastion and Transistor. "After more than 15 years, we decided to give it a try," Kasavin said. "We approach sequels with a great deal of fear and respect," he added with a laugh.
