I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER - Official Trailer (HD)
The fearsome hook from the '90s returns in 2025’s I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Sony has unveiled the first trailer for the sequel reboot of the 1997 teen slasher film, I Know What You Did Last Summer. The new movie retains a similar storyline, following five friends who try to conceal their accidental involvement in a fatal accident. They make a pact to bury the events of that night and keep quiet. However, a year later, someone knows the truth and seeks vengeance in the most lethal way possible.
With a hook-wielding murderer on the prowl, the group seeks assistance from two survivors of the 1997 Southport Massacre. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. reprise their roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson, the two teenagers who managed to survive the Fisherman killer.
“You need to handle this,” Bronson tells local authorities during a town meeting. “This isn’t the first instance of violence like this in Southport.”
Julie warns one of the group members that survival begins with a crucial question: What did you do last summer?

Steven Soderbergh expresses concern over mid-budget films failing at the box office
After Steven Soderbergh's Black Bag fell short at the domestic box office, despite receiving positive reviews, the director reflected on the film's reception. In a conversation with The Independent, Soderbergh indicated that the lackluster response to his film is a troubling sign for Hollywood as a whole.
“This is the type of film I built my career on,” he remarked. “If a mid-level budget, star-led movie can’t attract audiences over 25 years old — if that demographic really is a no-go zone — then that's concerning for the future of cinema. What does that mean for the next filmmaker wanting to create this kind of film?”
