      Moreover, given that Android Automotive is deeply integrated within cars, it might also provide broader voice control capabilities, allowing users to adjust the temperature, for instance, using just their voice.

      This information comes after Android Authority examined the OS code. It’s important to clarify that this pertains to the built-in Android Automotive OS, not to be confused with Android Auto for smartphones.

      The code findings strongly suggest that Google is planning to replace Assistant with Gemini for Android Automotive.

      One notable line in the code states: “Speak more naturally and get more done with your new assistant, reimagined with Google AI.”

      Additional lines include: “Meet Gemini” and “Your AI Assistant for the car,” making Google's direction with this update quite evident.

      There is also a “try later” button, likely allowing drivers the option to delay the transition to Gemini if they choose. Since this feature is significantly integrated into vehicles, it makes sense not to compel immediate change for all users.

      Therefore, anticipate a gradual rollout of this new car update, though the exact timing remains uncertain.

      Nonetheless, Google is progressing towards incorporating Gemini into Android Auto, having already announced this year that Gemini will be available in cars while signaling the upcoming discontinuation of Assistant.
