According to 91Mobile, Motorola’s forthcoming foldable phone, the Razr 60 Ultra, could be a formidable device. The official announcement for the new phone is anticipated in just a few days.

The website indicates that the Razr 60 Ultra is likely to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is also utilized in other flagship models for 2025, such as the OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

Moreover, the phone is expected to include a centrally located punch-hole selfie camera, flat edges, narrow bezels, and a cover screen that extends to the center of the back panel.

      Key specifications are as follows:

      - Main Display: 6.96-inch with a resolution of 1,224×2,992 pixels and a refresh rate of 165Hz

      - Cover Screen: 4-inch panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 x 1,272 pixels

      - Storage and Memory: Various configurations including 8GB, 12GB, 16GB, and 18GB RAM options, alongside storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and potentially 2TB

The upcoming phone is predicted to launch in several color choices and styles, such as Dark Green, Rio Red, Hot Pink, and an exclusive version featuring a wood-textured back panel.

Alongside the Razr 60 Ultra (which is expected to be named the Razr+ 2025 in the U.S.), Motorola is likely to introduce a standard Razr 60 and a non-foldable Edge 60 Pro.

While pricing details have not been disclosed yet, the Razr 60 Ultra is expected to start at $999, which is the same entry price as the Razr 50 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, currently the leading flip phone on the market, has a starting price of $1,099. This model is equipped with the 2024 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. Its successor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, may become the first Galaxy Z Flip model not to feature a Qualcomm chip, potentially utilizing Samsung’s Exynos 2500 or Exynos 2400 processor instead.

In Geekbench testing, the Exynos 2500 shows notably weaker performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, indicating that the Razr 60 Ultra could surpass the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in performance.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE could utilize an older chipset, but this might actually be beneficial

The Galaxy Z Flip FE (Fan Edition) is expected to launch later this year and may feature a chipset that first appeared on last year’s devices. Although using "older" chips in phones is sometimes perceived negatively, it could be a positive development in this situation.

Android Authority highlights that their findings suggest the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be equipped with the Exynos 2400e, the same chip included in the Galaxy S24 FE. Earlier speculations indicated that the new flip phone might have the Exynos 2500, which has yet to be officially announced by Samsung.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 may be upgraded to an Ultra model

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series has been around for a few months now, and its most recent Galaxy A series additions were launched just prior to the Mobile World Congress in early March. This has shifted attention towards the company's folding devices, with the latest reports indicating that an overdue update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 may be forthcoming.

As reported by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature a main sensor with a higher resolution than previous models in the series. The flagship folding device may incorporate the same 200-megapixel main sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, representing a significant resolution upgrade from the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which currently has a 50-megapixel sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch day availability may be challenging

New information regarding the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge suggests difficult circumstances for potential early buyers. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be officially revealed next month, following which a global launch will occur, raising concerns about its pricing and availability at launch. Financial News has begun to provide insights into these concerns.
