Huawei has introduced a new version of its Eyewear 2 smart glasses in China, featuring a fashionable round frame and AI capabilities. Priced at CNY 2299, approximately $310, this new design adds to the variety within the Huawei Eyewear 2 series.

The standout feature of this series is the 11 hours of audio playback offered by the glasses through drivers located in the arm, effectively turning them into earbuds for your face. They connect to your phone or other devices via Bluetooth and allow you to control your music with touch controls similar to those found on earbuds. The sound is not transmitted through bone conduction, so complete privacy in your listening is not guaranteed, but using them for music or podcasts should not disturb those nearby.

A significant new feature in this latest iteration of the smart glasses is the integration of AI capabilities, including live interpretation, as reported by Notebook Check. This feature can be activated via voice command to translate languages you hear into your preferred language in real time, which would be incredibly useful for business professionals and tourists. However, specifics about this feature remain limited, with no details on supported languages or how effectively it performs in practice.

Additional functionalities include health tips, weather updates, scheduling assistance, and the ability to answer calls with a nod. Given the glasses' roughly one-day battery life, charging speed is crucial. Huawei claims that the glasses can be fully charged in under an hour. They also come with new nose pads and non-slip ear hooks for comfort and practicality, which is especially important for a device worn on the face throughout the day.

The three available styles of smart glasses can be found on Huawei’s website, but there is currently no information on their availability outside of China.

Netflix may soon enhance its search capabilities with AI, which could be a game-changer.

There’s a common joke in the streaming industry: by the time you decide what to watch, the snacks are gone or your enthusiasm has faded. Netflix even introduced a feature called "Play Something" to eliminate aimless catalog browsing. However, a core issue lies in the platform's inadequate search system.

For years, users have voiced frustrations about the algorithm’s tendency to repeat suggestions, while the absence of a proper sorting and filtering system exacerbates the problem. Meanwhile, the category system can be quite overwhelming.
