This month on Netflix, Charlie Brooker is back with more unsettling tales in Black Mirror season 7. For the first time ever in the series, Brooker presents a sequel, USS Callister: Into Infinity, following up on the Emmy-winning USS Callister from season 4. Another significant release this April is You season 5, marking the final chapter for serial killer Joe Goldberg.
While Black Mirror and You will take the spotlight on the most popular list throughout April, there are additional shows ready for viewing with just a click. Some lesser-known gems include a stand-up comedy special, a conspiracy thriller, and a children's series.

Kill Tony: Kill or Be Killed (2025)
Netflix
Tony Hinchcliffe has been the host of Kill Tony for almost 12 years. This stand-up comedy variety show has developed a dedicated following over time. It began in small comedy venues and has expanded to some of the most iconic arenas in the world, including Madison Square Garden. Following Hinchcliffe's standout performance at The Roast of Tom Brady, Netflix partnered with the comedian for three Kill Tony specials, starting with Kill or Be Killed.
If you're tuning into Kill Tony for the first time, here’s how it works: Hundreds of comedians submit their names into the Bucket of Destiny. When a name is drawn, that comedian gets to perform a one-minute stand-up set on stage. Afterward, Hinchcliffe, co-host Brian Redban, and a panel of comedians engage in an interview that usually ends in a roast. The humor is quick, the laughter is plentiful, and the chaos is nonstop—essentially, that encapsulates Kill Tony.

The Madness (2024)

Colman Domingo is currently experiencing a surge in his career. Over the past three years, he has won an Emmy for his role in Euphoria, received two Academy Award nominations for Best Actor (Rustin, Sing Sing), and joined the cast of the upcoming Steven Spielberg film. Despite a hectic schedule, Domingo still made time to lead The Madness, a conspiracy thriller series that premiered in November.
Muncie Daniels (Domingo) is an author and an up-and-coming media figure. Just as his career is about to launch, Muncie stumbles upon the corpse of a white supremacist in the Poconos. Unfortunately, he is framed for murder and ends up as the prime suspect. Thus, Muncie must go into survival mode, taking extreme measures to stay alive. The Madness harkens back to the political thrillers of the 1970s that played into societal anxieties.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993-1995)
It’s time to morph. This choice may not resonate with everyone; you probably had to be a child during the early ‘90s when Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired. Nevertheless, the franchise made a notable comeback in 2023 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, a special commemorating the show’s 30th anniversary. Now, revisit the origins of the teenagers who became superheroes in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
In Angel Grove, five teens—Jason Lee Scott (Austin St. John), Zack Taylor (Walter Emanuel Jones), Billy Cranston (David Yost), Trini Kwan (Thuy Trang), and Kimberly Hart (Amy Jo Johnson)—are chosen by the wizard Zordon to become Power Rangers. The teens agree to join the fight to save the world, primarily against the wicked Rita Repulsa (Machiko Soga). While aimed at children, you might be surprised by how well the action stands up in this kids' show.
