Star Wars: Zero Company is a fresh tactical strategy game set during the Clone Wars.
Respawn Entertainment
Star Wars: Zero Company is the official title of Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor's much-anticipated turn-based tactics game, which puts players in charge of a squad during the notorious Clone Wars. The announcement was made earlier today, although specific details remain limited. A comprehensive panel is expected at the Star Wars Celebration Japan. For those unable to attend (which is likely the case for many), the website will publish all the updates after the panel concludes at 4:30 PM JT, approximately 3:30 AM ET.
Here’s what is confirmed so far. Zero Company is a single-player tactical game that appears to focus on storytelling. An image was released depicting "a few members of the elite squad under your command." While the identities of the characters are not fully disclosed, we can identify an Umbaran, a Mandalorian, a human, a Clone, and a Droid among them. Notably, there also seems to be a Tognath Jedi included in the team.

Speculation and leaks suggest that the game will have similarities to X-Com in various respects. The current lack of definitive information is to be expected; the team is clearly generating excitement for the Star Wars celebration, and a reveal trailer is likely to be showcased then. A release date seems less probable since it’s unclear how advanced the game's development is; however, given that it was first announced in 2022, there's potential for an estimated release timeframe.
Star Wars enthusiasts have much to anticipate. With the announcement of Zero Company, the news that the Knights of the Old Republic remake is actively in development, and the upcoming second season of Andor, there is an abundance of thrilling content ahead.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor set to release on PS4 and Xbox One in September
EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on September 17. This means that players who own only last-gen consoles will finally have the chance to experience this outstanding action-adventure game that was previously available exclusively on PC and current-gen consoles. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows the journey of Cal Kestis as he encounters a new threat tied to the universe's High Republic era. I rated the game four stars upon its release in April 2023, commenting that "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues to deliver a thematically rich, character-driven Jedi narrative in one of the most densely populated 3D Metroidvania games I've encountered. It currently stands as the ultimate single-player Star Wars experience."

Sony has unveiled the three titles that will be accessible to subscribers across all PlayStation Plus tiers throughout August, and it’s an impressive lineup. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the latest addition to one of the most iconic series of licensed video games. It is more ambitious than many other Lego games, offering players several intricately designed worlds to explore alongside playful retellings of all nine films in the main Star Wars saga. It's family-friendly and enjoyable in co-op mode, making it the ideal PS Plus title to download this August if you're seeking something to play with your family.

Star Wars Outlaws has an unexpected link to Solo
Star Wars Outlaws may introduce a brand new smuggler character named Kay Vess, but it will also feature numerous familiar faces from the Star Wars films. Lando Calrissian and a carbonite-encased Han Solo have both appeared in the game's trailers, while characters like Jabba the Hutt and Qi'ra return as leaders of some of the criminal underworld Syndicates that players must engage with. Lead writer Nikki Foy mentioned at a Star Wars Outlaws preview event that incorporating characters like Qi'ra was approached with great seriousness. "It's a huge responsibility. I think these are characters that belong to so many individuals. They're cherished by those who have grown up with them. Our entire team treats writing for these characters with utmost seriousness," Foy shared with Digital Trends.
