Samsung has officially launched the Good Lock customization app for Galaxy users around the globe.

In January, Samsung announced that its Good Lock customization app would become available to all users, and that day has finally arrived. The Good Lock app is now rolling out globally — simply check your Play Store for availability. If it isn’t currently downloadable, it should be soon. Reports are coming from various locations indicating that the app is now accessible.
The Play Store listing for the app has been updated as well. Since 2024, Good Lock displayed an “early access” banner, which has now been removed, and the app listing sports a new design. However, there is a condition: it is generally available only for users running Samsung's latest software versions, specifically One UI 7 or One UI 6.1. This news comes as a positive update following the halt of the One UI 7 rollout today.
The Play Store currently lists the Galaxy S25 series as the compatible devices, but the team at 9to5Google successfully installed the app on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Unfortunately, they were unable to install it on a Galaxy Z Fold 6.

This news comes as a pleasant surprise, though it may not be completely unexpected. The Samsung Newsroom had been teasing for the past week about the capabilities of Good Lock when used with One UI 7. If you’ve been contemplating changes to your home screen design, now is an ideal opportunity to try different options.
For those unfamiliar with Good Lock, it offers extensive customization options for your Galaxy device. You can significantly alter the appearance of your home screen, tailoring it to your individual preferences. It allows for the installation of individual modules, repositioning them, and more.
If you're having trouble installing it, ensure your device is updated (and that you are using one of the compatible models).
