      Dying for Sex (2025)

Michelle Williams returns to television in Dying for Sex, a comedy-drama by Elizabeth Meriwether (New Girl, The Dropout), inspired by the Wondery podcast of the same name created by Nikki Boyer. In this series, Molly (Williams) learns she has metastatic breast cancer. Realizing her time is limited, she leaves her 13-year marriage and embarks on a journey of sexual exploration she never experienced before.

Expected to be among the best shows on Hulu, Dying for Sex has received overwhelmingly positive reviews for its first season, composed of eight episodes, all currently available to watch. The cast also includes Jenny Slate (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Rob Delaney (Deadpool & Wolverine), and Sissy Spacek (Bloodline).

      Pulse (2025)

If you’re still in the mood for medical dramas, Pulse is another one to consider. Set in Miami, this series follows doctors, nurses, other staff, and patients in a busy emergency room of a prominent hospital. Like other shows in the genre, such as Grey’s Anatomy, it also explores the personal lives of the primary characters beyond their demanding work hours.

While Pulse may not reach the heights of Max’s The Pitt, which has already been renewed for a second season, it serves as a suitable fill while waiting for more from The Pitt. The cast includes Willa Fitzgerald (The Fall of the House of Usher), Colin Woodell (The Flight Attendant), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), and Justina Machado (The Horror of Dolores Roach).

      The Bondsman (2025)

Kevin Bacon stars in The Bondsman, an action-horror series where he plays Hub Halloran, a remote bounty hunter brought back to life. Eager to seize this second chance, Hub soon discovers a demonic twist in his former profession, with his new employer representing the ultimate evil: the devil.

The Bondsman offers plenty of entertainment, featuring a full eight-episode first season ready for streaming. Recognized as one of April 2025's best new shows, the series includes singer Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland in a leading role alongside Beth Grant (The Mindy Project), Damon Herriman (Justified), and Maxwell Jenkins, who portrayed a younger version of the title character in Jack Reacher. The Bondsman has received rave reviews following its debut.
