Steam has revealed the release date for Mafia 4, and it's coming soon.

Mafia: The Old Country, the upcoming installment in the long-standing franchise, was slated for release this year — and Steam has inadvertently disclosed a potential launch date. The game's Steam page initially indicated an August 8 release. It is also expected to debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on that same date. Although the Steam page has since removed this information, observant fans managed to catch the mistake.
While unofficial information should always be taken with caution, data originating from Steam is generally reliable. Developer Hanger 13 had initially intended to make the announcement at PAX East in early May. However, with August still a few months away and the May 8 event scheduled to showcase a new Gameplay Trailer and provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the franchise's history and future, anticipation is building.
This latest Mafia installment serves more as a prequel, transporting players back to the early 1900s in Sicily during a perilous and volatile time, marking the origins of the Cosa Nostra. The Steam description states, “Discover the roots of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set within the harsh underworld of 1900s Sicily. Struggle for survival as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the Cosa Nostra in this immersive third-person action-adventure.”
Described as reminiscent of a classic mob film, Mafia: The Old Country is perfect for devoted fans of The Godfather and Scarface. If the leaked release date holds true, you won’t have to wait long.
The timing is also advantageous, as it allows a reprieve between this title and other significant releases like Grand Theft Auto 6. You'll have ample opportunity to explore all the intricacies of Sicily's underworld before diving into the more modern — yet equally perilous — world that GTA 6 will offer. Be sure to watch for updates on May 8 to learn more about what lies ahead.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s release date has been both delayed and moved up simultaneously.
The PC and PS5 versions of Baldur's Gate 3 now have revised release dates, resulting in a peculiar situation where the game’s launch has been both accelerated and postponed. Originally announced for Google Stadia in 2019, Baldur's Gate 3 is a successor to BioWare's iconic Dungeons & Dragons RPG series and has been in early access on PC since October 2020. Its 1.0 PC launch and the PS5 port were initially confirmed for August 31 earlier this year; however, that has changed. In the most recent community update, developer Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur's Gate 3 will release on PC on August 3 and on PS5 on September 6.
Larian noted, "this means the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch at a time when you’ll have more time to engage with it," shifting its release away from the late August and early September blockbusters like Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon and Starfield. The new PS5 release date for Baldur's Gate 3 also provides PlayStation players with a temporary console-exclusive RPG on the same day Starfield is released.
However, the September 6 date represents a delay, a rationale Larian provided in the community update. "Baldur’s Gate 3 is aiming for 60 frames per second, and we’re close to achieving that on the platform but require a bit more time," the studio explained. "We don’t want to sacrifice quality and believe it would be unfortunate to downgrade to 30 fps or make other compromises to meet an arbitrary launch date. We acknowledge that some may be disappointed, but we're close to reaching new standards for RPGs on the system, and the advantages of a slight delay outweigh the drawbacks of hastening the PS5 release and having to downscale."
To summarize, Baldur's Gate 3 will first launch on PC via Steam, GOG, and Nvidia GeForce Now on August 3,
