The third season of Call of Duty: Warzone begins with the comeback of a beloved map.
Call of Duty: Warzone enthusiasts, prepare for excitement: Verdansk is returning at the beginning of season 3. The latest iteration of this classic map has been completely redesigned to accommodate the numerous changes that have occurred in Warzone since Verdansk was originally released, while still retaining the recognizable zones. The development team indicates that “a significant amount of work” has gone into crafting an authentic experience while making necessary updates. They estimate that approximately 95% of the map remains unchanged; any differences primarily consist of “minor adjustments” and “quality of life enhancements,” including new entrances to the Metro Station. There’s a dedicated Recon Tour Blog available that details how closely this new version of Verdansk resembles the original.
The visuals have been enhanced, with numerous minor upgrades across the map. For instance, the Fire Station features more intricate textures, and much of the surrounding snow has melted, exposing the dirt beneath. The Gora River, once completely frozen, is now predominantly thawed, filled with ankle-deep meltwater — and this alteration will affect the sounds made by enemies moving through the water. Additionally, the draw distance has been improved.
Overall, most changes are aimed at creating a fairer playing experience. Areas that previously required parachuting for access now have ladders, and other locations have been provided with extra cover.
Accompanying Verdansk's comeback are several noteworthy gameplay modifications. Player speed has been slightly decreased to accommodate Omnimovement, and the total number of players has been increased to an impressive 150. The addition of 30 more players at the start will make initial encounters even more intense, especially since players can now fire their starting weapons while freefalling.
While numerous changes will be available at launch, additional features will be introduced throughout the season. Exterior ascenders will be gradually added to areas of the game, although they are not available immediately (aside from a few specific locations).
Players can earn rewards during the Return to Verdansk event, which includes items such as the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle, Kali Sticks, and more. Additional freebies comprise the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle and the HDR Sniper Rifle.
However, new content often comes with the loss of existing content. In this instance, Urzikstan will be removed, and Area 99 will be temporarily unavailable — though the blog post suggests that it may make a comeback.
For battle royale fans, the launch of Warzone’s next season is an event not to be missed. It promises to be thrilling in the best possible way, while also preserving the nostalgia that fans cherish.

The Best Perk-A-Colas in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
There’s nothing quite like enjoying a refreshing Perk-A-Cola during an intense Zombies match in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In addition to being enjoyable (presumably), these colas grant buffs that help you survive the later rounds. These bonuses are crucial just like the Pack-A-Punch, but they come in a variety of flavors. While stacking them is possible, it can quickly become costly, so it's important to be selective about which perks to prioritize in the early game. There are eight different types of colas available, each with varying value for your Essence. To discover the best ones in Black Ops 6, check out our ranking.
Best Perk-A-Colas in Black Ops 6
We rank these Perk-A-Colas based on their core bonuses, excluding any additional effects from Augmentation, from best to least favorable.
Jugger-Nog
The classic Jugger-Nog is always a solid choice. An increase of 100 health is beneficial throughout the entire Zombies mode, particularly in early rounds. Losing a life can be a serious setback or lead to defeat. This extra health can help you navigate challenging situations that might otherwise end your game.
Quick Revive
This Perk consists of two parts, with the secondary feature being the ability to revive teammates 50% faster, which is useful though ideally not required. What elevates its rank is the 50% reduction in health regeneration delay. In Zombies, your health restores gradually, but at a slow rate. Faster healing means less time spent dodging zombies and more time actively assisting your team.
Speed Cola
Effective weapons for Zombies mode typically feature large magazines, speedy reloads, or both. Running out of ammo at a critical moment can jeopardize your survival, but Speed Cola addresses that concern. It accelerates reload and armor plating times by 30%. While this may not seem significant, it can make all the difference.
Stamin-Up
These zombies aren't slow movers; they chase you down aggressively, with some powerful ones surpassing your speed even at full sprint. Stamin-Up enables you to run faster (since there’s no sprint limit in Black Ops 6) rather than just for longer. In Zombies, positioning is crucial, and being able to get where you need to be quickly can be a
