Samsung stands out as the only manufacturer currently planning to launch new 8K TVs in 2025, with the top model being the QN990F series. This series utilizes the company’s most advanced NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, featuring 8K AI Upscaling Pro to enhance any content to 8K (noting the limited availability of native 8K content, other than a few YouTube videos). The QN990F also includes Samsung’s Glare-Free technology. Additionally, the new Wireless One Connect Box allows for a cable-free connection up to 30 feet (the power cord will still need to be plugged in, of course).

The QN990F features Motion Xcelerator 240Hz for smoother motion during sports and games, and AI Motion Enhancer Pro to refine elements such as moving text. It supports Dolby Atmos sound, while Object Tracking Sound Pro uses AI algorithms for spatial audio from the TV’s speakers. Upon release, the QN990F will be available in four sizes ranging from 65 to 98 inches.
