Three overlooked shows on Netflix that you should check out in March 2025.
Netflix has several potential hits lined up for this month. The streaming service is allowing John Mulaney to host a late-night show titled Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. The comedian had a successful trial last year with John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA. Renowned producer Shonda Rhimes returns with her new show, The Residence, a mystery set in the White House. Rhimes' shows on Netflix tend to become popular, such as Bridgerton.
New shows in March are expected to dominate the top lists. Here are three underrated shows to consider streaming this month, which include a prison thriller, a teen sitcom, and a sports drama.
We also offer guides to the top movies available on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+.
Prison Break (2005-2017)
The title "Prison Break" gives you a hint about its storyline. The show revolves around an escape from prison, but the intricacies leading up to and following the escape make this crime drama highly engaging. After being wrongfully charged with murder, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is sentenced to Death Row. His brother, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), creates a strategy to rescue him.
Michael’s plan bypasses the legal route; he commits a crime to get himself imprisoned in the same facility as Lincoln. With both brothers incarcerated together, they devise their breakout. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a conspiracy aimed at framing Lincoln. With a reboot of Prison Break set in the same universe in the works, there's no better time to revisit the series than now.

Ballers (2015-2019)
As soon as Lil Wayne's "Kane is in the building" from Right Above It plays, you know it’s time for Ballers, a sports drama that aired for five seasons on HBO. Dwayne Johnson plays Spencer Strasmore, a former NFL player who has to retire early due to an injury. In need of a new direction, Spencer starts working as a financial manager for current NFL players.
Spencer quickly discovers that life off the field is as fiercely competitive as the game itself. The professional sports business is ruthless. Only the most resilient and astute individuals will thrive. Ballers began with a strong start, delivering two excellent seasons that any sports enthusiast will enjoy. It's also enjoyable to rewatch and see John David Washington rise as an actor.

Drake & Josh (2004-2007)
This selection is purely nostalgic. If you were between eight and eighteen during the mid-2000s, Drake & Josh was likely a staple in your viewing habits. The Nickelodeon sitcom featured Drake Bell and Josh Peck as the titular teenage stepbrothers. Despite their apparent differences, with Drake being a charming yet clueless musician and Josh a smart and awkward individual, they slowly find common ground while sharing a room.
Being a sitcom, the duo gets into numerous amusing situations, including a Blues Brothers-inspired talent show, a dune buggy mishap, a pool hustler, and a malfunctioning treehouse. Regardless of the challenges, the boys always manage to figure it out.
