NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Sunday, March 16.

Strands is a fresh daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. This challenging variation of the traditional word search requires sharp observation skills to solve. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes be quite difficult. There's no need to feel embarrassed if you require assistance occasionally. If you're having trouble and want the answers to today's Strands puzzle, see the resolved puzzle below.

      How to play Strands

In each Strands puzzle, your objective is to locate the “theme words” hidden within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm. Upon finding the correct word, the letters will be marked in blue and will become unselectable.

If you discover a word that isn’t a theme word, it can still be beneficial! For every three non-theme words you identify that are at least four letters long, you’ll receive a hint — one of the theme word’s letters will be revealed, and you’ll simply need to unscramble it.

Every letter present in the grid is utilized to create the theme words, and there’s no overlap. Each letter is used once and only once.

Every puzzle features one “spangram,” which is a special theme word (or words) that encapsulate the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite edges of the board. When the spangram is found, it will be highlighted in yellow.

The aim should be to finish the puzzle swiftly without relying too heavily on hints.

You can currently acquire Death Stranding for free on PC. Here’s how

Death Stranding is available for free on PC via the Epic Games Store. Players have until May 25 to redeem their copy before another mystery game becomes available for free.

The Epic Games Store has a long-standing tradition of offering games for free. Just last month, it gave away copies of Dying Light: Enhanced Edition during the Easter weekend. Death Stranding, which typically retails for $30 on the Epic Games Store, is a particularly significant free offering, so you'll want to ensure you secure a copy while it’s available.

Today’s Wordle answer changed due to Roe v. Wade

There are occasions when Wordle players receive different answers based on their browser. Today is one of those instances, but for a notably different reason. The New York Times adjusted today’s Wordle answer due to its unintended connection to the Supreme Court's upcoming ruling on Roe v. Wade.

The original answer for Wordle 324 was intended to be "fetus." Wordle creator Josh Wardle scheduled this answer for today over a year ago, long before The New York Times acquired the game at the peak of its popularity in January. Everdeen Mason, editorial director for New York Times Games, mentioned in a statement that the answer was changed to something completely different due to its proximity to a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that proposed overturning the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling, which caused widespread concern across the nation.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut finally arrives on PC on March 30

Kojima Productions and 505 Games' Death Stranding Director's Cut will be released for PC on March 30, 2022. It will be priced at $40 for new players, though those who already possess Death Stranding on PC can upgrade for a nominal fee.

Death Stranding Director's Cut is an enhanced version of Hideo Kojima's most experimental game to date. It follows Norman Reedus' character, Sam Porter Bridges, as he embarks on a journey across America to reconnect humanity. In our 2019 review of the game, Digital Trends noted that "it won't change the opinions of Kojima critics who believe he should only make movies, but the game's thoughtful social elements highlight why he remains a crucial figure in the gaming industry."
