Leaks reveal the character list for The Odyssey: Discover which actors will portray the legendary characters.

      Christopher Nolan is presently filming The Odyssey in Europe. Due to the large ensemble cast, it appears that a significant portion of Hollywood's top talents will be part of the Oscar winner’s sequel to Oppenheimer. Matt Damon is cast as Odysseus, the Greek hero who undertakes a perilous journey back home after the Trojan War. The specific roles of the other actors have not been officially announced, but several Greek media outlets have reported on the character list that has been leaked.

      The cast reportedly includes Tom Holland as Telemachus, Odysseus’ son; Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Odysseus’ wife; Lupita Nyong’o as Clytemnestra, Agamemnon’s wife; Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, the commander of the Greek troops during the Trojan War; Charlize Theron as Circe, a witch goddess; and Zendaya as Athena, a goddess and mentor to Odysseus. Universal has yet to confirm these roles.

      Holland was recently seen on the set of The Odyssey. He and Nolan were observed on a boat as they prepared to shoot a scene.

      The remainder of the cast features Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, Rafi Gavron, Shiloh Fernandez, Mia Goth, Corey Hawkins, Nick E. Tarabay, Jimmy Gonzales, Maurie Compte, Michael Vlamis, Iddo Goldberg, Josh Stewart, Cosmo Jarvis, and Ryan Hurst.

      Nolan is both the writer and director of The Odyssey, which is based on Homer’s Greek epic poem. The film is rumored to have a budget of approximately $250 million, making it one of Nolan’s most expensive projects to date. He plans to shoot in various locations around the globe using new IMAX technology. Universal is set to release The Odyssey in theaters on July 17, 2026.

      Masters of the Universe live-action movie casts Sorceress and Fisto

      The live-action Masters of the Universe movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel continues to build its cast. According to Deadline, the film has added Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson in the role of Malcolm/Fisto. The Sorceress is a magical entity who protects the secrets and wisdom of Castle Grayskull. Despite her immense power, she can only wield her magic within the castle’s walls. At one point in Masters of the Universe, she was also Teela’s mother.

      Malcolm, also known as Fisto, is a brawny, muscular warrior with reddish-brown hair and a thick beard. A distinctive feature of this character is the large metal fist on his right hand.

      Cavill’s Bond audition has surfaced online. Uploaded to Ron South’s YouTube channel, the video shows Cavill reading lines from a scene in the 1995 film GoldenEye. At the time of the audition, Cavill was just 22 and had long black hair. The video's description claims it originated from a "VHS tape found in a recycling bin at a movie studio."

      Ultimately, Craig secured the role and portrayed the iconic spy in five films, with producers opting for an older version of Bond — Craig was 37 in 2005 — over a spy in his early twenties. Despite not landing the part, Cavill impressed Campbell, who lauded his audition as "tremendous."
