Based on the reactions of James Cameron’s wife, it seems that Avatar: Fire and Ash will be the most emotional narrative set on Pandora that the filmmaker has crafted. Suzy Amis Cameron, Cameron's wife, had the opportunity to view a cut of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in the Avatar series. Cameron mentioned that the film's emotional depth made her cry.

"My wife watched the entire film in one go. She had been intentionally avoiding it, and I hadn’t shown her any snippets during production. This was on December 22nd," Cameron shared with Empire. "She cried for four hours straight."

Cameron was unable to gather adequate feedback from her due to her emotional response.

"She kept trying to collect herself to share specific thoughts with me, but then she would just tear up and start crying again," Cameron recounted. "Eventually, I said, ‘Honey, I need to go to bed. We can discuss this later.’"

When Cameron’s wife becomes emotional during a screening, it generally indicates a positive reception, as her past predictions have proven accurate.

"She’s a reliable indicator," Cameron stated. "She predicted the success of Titanic, Avatar, and Avatar 2. So I trust her feelings on this."

Fire and Ash marks Cameron's third journey in Pandora, following 2009’s Avatar and 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water. Avatar 3 will introduce two new clans: Tlalim and Mangkwan. The Tlalim, or Wind Traders, are a friendly group led by Peylak (David Thewlis), while the Mangkwan, known as the Ash People, are more hostile and pose a danger to Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and his family.

Cameron directs Fire and Ash from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. He recently confirmed that the runtime for Avatar 3 is slightly longer than the 192 minutes of Way of Water.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is set to premiere in theaters on December 19, 2025.

Henry Cavill's James Bond audition has been leaked online. Should Superman have taken on the role of 007?

Henry Cavill almost suited up as James Bond instead of donning a cape. In 2005, Cavill auditioned for the role in Casino Royale. Director Martin Campbell stated that Cavill and Daniel Craig were the final contenders to succeed Pierce Brosnan as 007. Fans have long been curious about how Cavill would have portrayed Bond, and now a leaked video grants them a glimpse into his audition.

The video shows Cavill performing lines from a scene in the 1995 film GoldenEye, and it was recently posted on Ron South's YouTube channel. At the time, Cavill was only 22 and had long black hair. The video's description explains that it was sourced from a "VHS tape found in a recycling bin at a movie studio."

Ultimately, Craig secured the role and portrayed the iconic spy in five films. Producers preferred an older interpretation of Bond—Craig was 37 in 2005—over a spy in his early twenties. Despite losing the part, Cavill impressed Campbell, who described his audition as "tremendous."
