If you have the desire to roll various objects into a ball and send them soaring into the night sky, there’s good news: a new Katamari Damacy game is set to launch exclusively on Apple Arcade. Katamari Damacy Rolling Live is anticipated to be released on April 3, 2025, for all compatible Apple Arcade devices, alongside five additional games (including RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic+).
The introduction of Katamari Damacy is a delightful surprise. This franchise has been around for many years and retains its quirky charm since its inception. The last installment was Katamari Damacy Reroll released in late 2018, but with this new addition, players can roll while on the move.
Apple Arcade currently boasts a library of over 200 games. Initially, the service focused on providing high-quality, ad-free mobile games, but it has since expanded to include more mainstream gaming franchises. In January, the original version of Final Fantasy and Visions of Mana were added to the platform.

The latest updates also bring new titles including Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve, The Game of Life 2+, Sesame Street Mecha Builders+ (with Mecha Elmo among the characters), and the puzzle game puffies. It's not only the Katamari series that has a new addition; Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve marks a recent entry in Taito's franchise.
This diverse lineup offers various genres and caters to a wide range of interests, highlighting why Apple Arcade remains a significant choice for gamers on the go. Players can even access massively popular titles like Stardew Valley directly from their phones. It is arguably comparable in value to Xbox Game Pass, a statement we don't make lightly. At $7 per month, subscribers gain access to numerous games without the hassle of microtransactions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 could achieve sales of 15 million consoles in its first year, according to analysts' predictions. The initial teaser for the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed today, although a complete Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April. The company aims to surpass original Switch sales, which have reached 147 million units since 2017, boosted significantly during lockdown periods.
However, achieving this goal is challenging, especially given the existing base of at least 105 million users, as noted by analyst George Jijiashvili. He emphasized that successfully managing the transition will be crucial for the Switch 2's success. "The biggest challenge will be effectively managing the transition—encouraging users to upgrade to the Switch 2 while ensuring that those who stay with the original Switch remain supported and engaged," he stated.
Apple Arcade launches 7 surprise games for 2025
Apple Arcade has kicked off the year 2025 with its first update, adding seven new games to its lineup, which includes three originals and four upgraded versions of classic titles like Final Fantasy and Trials of Mana.
At the end of last year, Apple Arcade teased several games set to be added to its ad-free mobile service but did not disclose their release dates. Now, subscribers can download these seven new titles on their preferred iOS devices.
Nvidia GeForce Now is expanding to Steam Deck, Apple Vision Pro, and more
Nvidia announced that its cloud gaming service, Nvidia GeForce Now, will be available on several new platforms soon. During CES 2025, it was revealed that a GeForce Now app for Steam Deck is expected later this year, alongside browser support for Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Pico mixed reality headsets, and Apple Vision Pro, all coming later this month.
Nvidia GeForce Now allows players to use Nvidia's servers to stream games from their Steam library using high-end PC hardware via cloud gaming. For those with strong internet connections but less powerful PCs or laptops for gaming, services like GeForce Now provide a viable solution. Previously, GeForce Now was accessible only through PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and select smart TVs from brands like Samsung, but this year Nvidia aims to improve its accessibility.
