NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Tuesday, March 11.
Strands is a new daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. It's a more challenging version of the traditional word search, requiring a sharp eye to solve. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes be tough to crack. There’s no harm in seeking a bit of assistance if you're feeling stuck. If you need the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, find the solved puzzle below.
How to play Strands
In each Strands puzzle, your objective is to locate the "theme words" concealed in the grid of letters. You can form words by dragging or tapping letters; double-tap the final letter to confirm. If you correctly identify a word, the letters will turn blue and become unselectable.
If you discover a word that isn’t a theme word, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long that you find, you’ll receive a hint — one of the letters in a theme word will be shown, and you will need to unscramble it.
Every letter in the grid is used to create the theme words without any overlap. Each letter will only be used once.
Each puzzle includes one “spangram,” which is a particular theme word (or words) that relates to the puzzle’s theme and spans across two opposite sides of the board. Upon finding the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying too much on hints.

Today’s Wordle answer changed due to Roe v. Wade
Certain days see Wordle players receiving different answers based on the browser used to engage with the game. Today happens to be one such day, but for a notably different reason. The New York Times altered today’s Wordle answer due to its unintended association with the Supreme Court's upcoming decision on Roe v. Wade.
The original answer for Wordle 324 was intended to be "fetus." Wordle creator Josh Wardle scheduled that solution to be presented today over a year ago, well before The New York Times acquired the game during its peak in January. Everdeen Mason, editorial director for New York Times Games, stated that the answer was changed to something entirely different because of its connection to the Supreme Court's recently leaked draft opinion that included a proposal to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion ruling, which caused significant unrest across the nation.

It will be priced at $40 for new players, while those who already possess Death Stranding on PC can upgrade for a minimal fee. Death Stranding Director's Cut is an upgraded version of Hideo Kojima's most innovative game to date. It chronicles the journey of Norman Reedus' character, Sam Porter Bridges, as he gradually traverses America to reconnect humanity. In our 2019 review, Digital Trends remarked that "it won't change the minds of Kojima critics who believe he should just focus on filmmaking, but the game's thoughtful social elements highlight why he remains an essential figure in the gaming industry."
