Apple is discreetly rolling out two new benefits for specific Apple One subscribers. One is currently available, while the other will come with a forthcoming iOS update.

Last month, Apple launched Apple Invites, a platform that enables users to create and share invitations, manage RSVPs, contribute to Shared Albums, and interact with Apple Music playlists, among other features. Apple Invites can also be accessed online for users without an iPhone or other Apple devices. However, only iCloud+ subscribers can create invitations, although anyone can RSVP, regardless of whether they possess an Apple account or device.

Every Apple One subscription comes with iCloud+, and both individual, family, and premier subscribers can use Apple Invites as an additional feature.

With the introduction of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, Apple is also adding a new food section to Apple News+, offering thousands of recipes and food-related articles from publications like Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, and Allrecipes, among others. These software updates are currently in beta and are expected to be available to the public next month.

Apple News+ is limited to Apple One Premier subscribers. If you're not subscribed to Apple One, you can obtain Apple News+ for $9.99 per month.

An individual Apple One subscription ($19.95) includes:

      - iCloud+ with 50GB of online storage

      - Apple TV+

      - Apple Music

      - Apple Arcade

The Apple One Family plan ($25.95) can be shared with up to five people and includes:

      - iCloud+ with 200GB of online storage

      - Apple TV+

      - Apple Music

      - Apple Arcade

Lastly, the Apple One Premier ($37.95) subscription, which can also be shared with up to five users, offers:

      - iCloud with 2TB of online storage

      - Apple TV+

      - Apple Music

      - Apple Fitness+

      - Apple News+

Apple News+ is only available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia.

OnePlus presents the best combo of an Android phone and smartwatch currently available

An unexpected revelation has occurred. There's an outstanding smartphone and smartwatch combination available for purchase right now that I believe you would regret missing out on, and it’s not the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max paired with the Apple Watch Series 10. It’s also not the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with the Galaxy Watch 7. It’s the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus Watch 3, and in my opinion, this is the finest pairing of an Android phone and watch I've seen in a long time.

      Exceptional products

I should clarify why this caught me off guard. The OnePlus Watch 3 is the first smartwatch from OnePlus that I have tried, and the feedback I received about earlier models from colleagues didn't make me feel like I was missing anything significant. With reports of poor health tracking and a non-functional rotating crown, I always felt confident suggesting Samsung's reliable Galaxy Watch or a Mobvoi TicWatch to Android phone users.

The OnePlus Watch 3 has officially been released and includes several new features, such as an ECG (electrocardiogram) analyzer, which was not present in its second-generation predecessor. Nonetheless, as OnePlus informed 9to5Google, this feature will be unavailable to users in the U.S. and Canada because the watch has yet to obtain official certification for its ECG functionality from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Despite this restriction, all users, regardless of their location, will be able to utilize the new "60-Second Health Check-In" feature anticipated for release in the second quarter of this year.

With the introduction of Android 16, users will have a one-click option for enhanced security.

Android 16 is poised to deliver improved security for applications and services. According to Android Authority, this feature allows users to boost their device's security with just one click, exceeding Google’s Advanced Protection Program established in 2017.

The current feature is accessible to anyone with a Google account and is particularly recommended for individuals at higher risk of attacks, including political campaign staff, journalists, activists, and business leaders. The program employs security keys or passkeys for signing in, offers extra protection against harmful downloads, and secures personal information by limiting access to Google Account data. Additionally, it provides heightened defenses against phishing and unauthorized access.
