GrafTech has developed its own Microsoft Visio file converter

      Graphtech has introduced a new version of the Autograph Standard technical and business scheme editor 3.0.0. The most important innovation is its own graphics core and converter, which allows you to open and edit Microsoft Visio (vsdx) files without loss of quality. This was a significant step forward, as previously working with such formats was limited.

       Before the official release, the program underwent a closed beta test, which lasted five months, starting in October 2024. More than 1,000 users from large companies in the fuel and energy complex took part in the tests. During the testing, not only the performance of the new converter was evaluated, but also other improvements. Among them are updated tools for engineers who have to work with complex circuits, as well as additional functions for business users. Now you can import and create BPMN diagrams in Autograph Standard, use extensive libraries of elements, and automatically check the logic of building diagrams.        The ways of acquiring the program have also changed. Now Autograph Standard can be purchased not only directly from GrafTech and its partners, but also as part of the MyOffice Scheme office application package.

       Petr Vasilenko, CEO of GrafTech, noted that the launch of its own converter was an important technological achievement. According to him, several major customers and partners of the company have been waiting for this update for a long time. The developers paid special attention to the speed and quality of the import, which allowed for seamless integration with Microsoft Visio. Vasilenko stressed that GrafTech does not plan to focus on one product and is already working on creating a line of solutions based on Autograph. The company is considering the possibility of cooperation with other IT vendors, as the accumulated experience in the field of graphic editors can be applied much more widely.Image: GrafTech Press Service

       According to the GrafTech press service, in 2024, sales of Autograph and Autograph Standard Beta licenses exceeded 28,000, which is three times more than in 2023.
