The Voices (2015)
The Voices Official Trailer #1 (2015) - Anna Kendrick, Ryan Reynolds Movie HD
Ryan Reynolds recently referred to this movie as one of his favorites, describing it as “weird and fun and beautiful.” This lesser-known film may not be one of his most recognized or highly acclaimed works. Nonetheless, The Voices is quite an entertaining watch. It had a limited release, so you likely haven’t seen it or even heard of it.
In this satirical psychological horror comedy, Reynolds portrays Jerry Hickfang, a factory worker who experiences voices in his head due to his schizophrenia. Despite his continuous hallucinations, he attempts to keep this hidden from his colleagues. However, when he stops taking his medication, his hallucinations lead him to commit murder repeatedly. Co-starring Anna Kendrick, The Voices received fairly decent reviews, including a favorable one from Reynolds himself.
You can stream The Voices on Amazon Prime Video.

All in the Family (1971-1979)
CBS
All in the Family is regarded as one of the most iconic sitcoms ever and is also among the most controversial when looking back. Carroll O’Connor stars as the cantankerous Archie Bunker, a working-class man with racist and bigoted views, who expresses his opinions on various marginalized groups, including those of different races, genders, or sexual orientations. The show was one of the first to address serious topics such as women’s rights, rape, religion, the Vietnam War, and antisemitism, all through a humorous lens.
While Bunker isn't exactly a sympathetic character, it's the family members around him, who attempt (and often fail) to change his perspectives, that contribute to many laugh-out-loud moments. All in the Family illustrates the progress we’ve made over the last fifty years, while also revealing how much further we still have to go.
You can stream All in the Family on Amazon Prime Video.
