Brat Summer might be heading to Narnia. According to Deadline, Charli XCX is being considered for a role in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Narnia for Netflix. While no agreement has been finalized, the British pop artist is in discussions to join the cast. Charli XCX is reportedly being eyed for the character of the antagonist Jadis, more famously known as the White Witch. Tilda Swinton, an Oscar winner, portrayed Jadis in the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Charli XCX just had a breakout year, largely due to the success of her sixth studio album, Brat. The album, with its iconic green cover and the Brat Summer movement, has seen remarkable success for the 32-year-old artist. Brat garnered three Grammy Awards and five Brit Awards, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Charli XCX has shown an interest in branching into acting and has already filmed several notable projects. She is set to appear in films such as Cathy Yan’s The Gallerist, Daniel Goldhaber’s Faces of Death, Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, Romain Gavras’ Sacrifice, and Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero.

Currently, casting for Gerwig’s Narnia adaptation is underway. The filmmaker behind Barbie recently struck an unprecedented deal with IMAX to showcase the film prior to its streaming release on Netflix. Narnia will be available in IMAX on nearly 1,000 screens on Thanksgiving Day 2026, and IMAX will run it on their screens for at least two weeks. The fantasy film is set to premiere on Netflix around Christmas Day 2026.

In 2018, Netflix secured the rights to the Narnia books by C.S. Lewis. By 2023, Gerwig had officially come on board to write and direct two Narnia films for the platform.

What transpired during the Suits LA premiere? Analyzing that shocking betrayal.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Suits LA.

Suits LA wasted no time in delivering a shocking betrayal that most series might reserve for a season finale. In the first episode, Ted Black (Stephen Amell) is on the brink of finalizing a major merger with his friend and partner, Stuart (Josh McDermitt). The two even shared a dinner to celebrate the forthcoming deal. However, Stuart then metaphorically stabbed Ted in the back.

Due to certain legal loopholes, Stuart completes the transaction without Ted, taking the company’s most influential clients and employees with him to the new firm. To complicate matters, Stuart teams up with Ted's ex, Sam (Rachelle Goulding), to establish a new firm.

What motivated Stuart to betray Ted? Ted had previously insulted Stuart by referring to him as a “flea.” Stuart bore a grudge and was determined to make Ted pay for the slight.

Stuart isn't the only one leaving the firm; Rick Dodsen (Bryan Greenberg) also departs after Stuart promises him the head of entertainment position at the new firm. Erica (Lex Scott Davis) received the same offer but disclosed the information to Ted, which led him to elevate her to partner at Black Lane.

Dan Fogelman's mystery thriller has been renewed for a second season on Hulu. Sterling K. Brown stars in the series as Xavier Collins, a Secret Service agent employed by President Cal Bradford (James Marsden). Following Bradford's murder, Xavier becomes the prime suspect since he was the last seen with the president. The murder shocks the “serene community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals.” Accused of murder, Xavier must fight to clear his name and safeguard his family from the sinister forces at play.

Along with Brown and Marsden, Paradise's cast includes Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV.

This marks a reunion for Fogelman and Brown, who previously collaborated on NBC's Emmy-winning drama This Is Us. In 2017, Brown became the first African American actor since Andre Braugher in 1998 to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Both Brown and Fogelman serve as executive producers for Paradise along with John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers.
