The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a slightly revised design compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The final design for the new foldable flip phone suggests that the outer display will receive an upgrade, eliminating the black folder frame found on its predecessor.
As reported by Android Headlines, design images of the Z Flip 7 indicate that this upcoming model will remove the quirky black folder frame seen on the Z Flip 6. While the images do not reveal the phone's internal specifications, which have yet to be disclosed, it's confirmed that the Z Flip 7 will have a larger outer display compared to its predecessor. This increase in screen size could enhance user experience, allowing for more activities like watching TikTok videos or texting friends without the need to frequently unfold the device.
This update follows shortly after our initial glimpse of the Z Flip 7, where it was highlighted that the outer display will measure 3.6 inches, matching the size of the outer display on the Motorola Razr Plus 2024, which launched last summer. Additionally, this new display is 0.2 inches larger than the 3.4-inch outer display of the Z Flip 6, attributed to the previous black folder frame.
Beyond the appeal of utilizing the outer screen more than the inner, the larger outer display on the Z Flip 7 will encapsulate the rear cameras similarly to how it is designed in Motorola’s premium flip phone. While the rear cameras may retain the 50 MP main camera and 12 MP ultrawide shooter from the Z Flip 6, the expanded screen could position the Z Flip 7 as a desirable upgrade.

When can we expect to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?
With the Samsung Galaxy S25 series now on the market, the company is shifting its focus to its next model, the Galaxy S25 Edge. This device is anticipated to be revolutionary and will likely be pitched against Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17 Air. Recent information offers insights into when the Samsung phone may hit the shelves.
According to tipster Max Jambor (via Android Headlines), the new device is expected to be available for purchase in the second quarter of the year. Earlier rumors suggested a release around April, lending credence to this tip.
The Galaxy S25 Edge may be slimmer than anticipated
Hints about the uniqueness of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge lie in its name, but just how slim is it expected to be? The latest speculation has the phone at an impressive thickness of just 5.84mm, even thinner than previously suggested estimates. This brings the device's profile closer to that of some of the slimmest smartphones ever made.
Previously, the Galaxy S25 Edge—formerly referred to as the Galaxy S25 Slim—was projected to measure 6.4mm thick, which, while undeniably thin, was not groundbreaking. The most recent details come from well-known leaker Ice Universe, who quoted another reputable leaker, OnLeaks. A message on the Chinese social platform Weibo stated that the Edge’s dimensions will be 158.2 x 75.5 x 5.84mm.
