Steven Spielberg’s legendary shark thriller will be re-released in cinemas from August 29 to September 4 this summer. Leading up to the Labor Day screenings, the 2025 TCM Classic Film Festival will present the first theatrical showing in April to mark the occasion.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is set to host Jaws Movie Party screenings during the Memorial Day weekend in May, featuring a special menu along with limited-edition popcorn buckets and merchandise.       Jaws: The Exhibition will debut at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles this September, with tickets now available for purchase. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the last surviving shark used by Spielberg during filming.

For those who can’t make it to a special screening, Jaws will be available for home viewing on Peacock starting June 15, along with Jaws 3-D and Jaws: The Revenge for streaming.

For collectors of physical media, a 50th-anniversary edition of Jaws will be released this summer in both digital and disc formats, featuring new bonus content.

Based on Peter Benchley’s novel, Jaws follows police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider), oceanographer Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss), and ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) as they attempt to eliminate a menacing great white shark that has been terrorizing the small tourist town of Amity Island in New England.

Jaws first hit theaters on June 20, 1975, and quickly established itself as one of Spielberg’s finest films and a box office triumph, earning over $477 million worldwide on a $9 million budget. It set the benchmark for summer blockbusters and ushered in a new filmmaking era. Nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Jaws took home three: Best Original Score, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound.

      What’s new on Disney+ in March 2025

Disney+ has experienced some lean months as its parent company aims for streaming profitability, and March is no exception. However, the launch of Marvel's highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series on March 4 with a two-episode premiere sets this month apart. Episodes 3 and 4 will be released weekly, but interestingly, episodes 5 and 6 will drop simultaneously on the same day.

Though Daredevil: Born Again is the highlight this month, it is overshadowed by the anticipated release of Moana 2 on March 12. The original Moana performed exceptionally well for Disney+, prompting the cancellation of a planned Moana series in favor of a sequel.

New episodes of Pixar's Win or Lose will also come out this month, alongside the premiere of David Blaine Do Not Attempt. Unfortunately, once these shows are accounted for, there isn’t much additional new programming available for March.

A summary of everything new on Disney+ in March 2025 can be found below, with our top picks highlighted in bold.

This month, we recommend three rom-coms to watch on Netflix, two of which take place in Italy, including the new Netflix original, La Dolce Villa. The third pick is a fantasy rom-com centered on childhood best friends who drift apart in their mid-20s.

We also provide guides on the best movies to stream this week, along with the best options across Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+.

      Afterlife of the Party (2021)

Afterlife of the Party leans more towards comedy than romance, acting as a platonic rom-com where friendship takes center stage. Nonetheless, it is filled with humor and supernatural elements. The story follows Cassie (Victoria Justice) and Lisa (Midori Francis), who have been best friends
