The cast of the FX prequel series "Alien: Earth" has expanded by 11 members.
FX on Hulu
FX has revealed that 11 new cast members have been added to Alien: Earth. Richa Moorjani, Karen Aldridge, Enzo Cilenti, Max Rinehart, Amir Boutrous, Victoria Masoma, Tom Moya, Andy Yu, Michael Smiley, Jamie Bisping, and Tanapol Chuksrida will appear in guest roles. They join a cast led by Sydney Chandler, who portrays a young woman commanding a group of soldiers confronting "the planet’s greatest threat." The ensemble also includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
Alien: Earth is set in 2120, two years prior to the events of Ridley Scott’s Alien. According to FX, "Five corporations — Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold — hold the power of nations, and proprietary technological advancements promise a new future." The latest teaser trailer features a xenomorph rampaging on a spaceship heading for Earth, which is the same creature that the soldiers will track down after it lands. Given the franchise's tone, it’s likely that not all soldiers will make it, and the team will endure significant challenges to overcome the xenomorph.
Created by Noah Hawley, who is known for his work on FX shows Fargo and Legion, Alien: Earth marks the second consecutive year with an Alien project. Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus premiered in August 2024 and was a worldwide success, earning over $350 million globally. A sequel to Romulus is currently in development. FX’s Alien: Earth will be available this summer on Hulu.
