Apple is expected to soon unveil a new Mac Studio alongside the latest MacBook Air models, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman on X. This release may differentiate it from the Mac Pro, which is poised to skip the M3 Ultra and move directly to the M4 Ultra. Gurman noted, “It’s not an ‘Air’ — but the new Mac Studio, codenamed J575, seems to be on the horizon. It might be announced as early as this week together with the new MacBook Airs. Indications suggest these will feature an M4 Max, but the new Ultra chip will actually be an M3 Ultra.”
While the new Mac Studio is anticipated to have an M4 Max, Gurman indicates that its Ultra chip will be an M3 Ultra. The M1 Ultra launched in 2022, and the M2 Ultra in 2023, leading to expectations for an upcoming M3 Ultra version. Why this variation in processors? Gurman clarifies that, “With an M3 Ultra in the Mac Studio, Apple could set it apart from the Mac Pro, which might receive the M4 Ultra. Currently, both the Mac Studio and Mac Pro oddly share the M2 Ultra and exhibit the same overall performance.”
Excitement builds for the impending release of the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro, both of which currently utilize the M2 Ultra chip. Even if the Mac Studio adopts the M3 Ultra, it would signify enhanced performance, but the latest model appears more enticing. There are no official details on the core count for the M3 Ultra, but it is expected to surpass the M2 Ultra’s 24-core CPU (16 performance cores and eight efficiency cores).

A recent report criticizes the repairability of MacBooks. Here’s what to consider if you need to fix yours.
Apple's top MacBooks have gained a reputation for substantial software support and premium build quality, attributes that contribute to their longevity compared to competitors. However, this comes with a downside: MacBooks are notoriously difficult to repair, necessitating specialized tools, intricate disassembly, and immense patience.
This problem is underscored by a new report (PDF download) from the US Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) Education Fund, which reveals that Apple’s MacBooks rank as the second-worst laptops in repairability, with only Lenovo performing worse. Alarmingly, much of Apple’s low score stems from a very poor disassembly rating, which should be concerning for anyone planning to take on the challenge of dismantling their expensive laptop.
If you're searching for one of Apple’s best MacBooks, the MacBook Pro should be your primary focus. The latest M4 MacBook Pro introduced significant upgrades to the lineup, and with the M4 MacBook Air on the verge of launch, you may be curious about what Apple has planned for the next iteration of the MacBook Pro.
This upcoming model, featuring Apple’s new M5 chip, presents an intriguing possibility. Will Apple implement a complete redesign, or will it signify a more conservative update? What can we expect from the M5 chip? Furthermore, will Apple finally debut its first OLED MacBook Pro alongside the arrival of the M5 chip?
The new iPhone 16e has been released, leading to frustration regarding the MacBook.
The iPhone 16e has arrived, marking the most significant overhaul in Apple's budget iPhone series. With features like Face ID, an A18 chip, and USB-C connectivity, it represents a comprehensive upgrade affecting nearly every aspect of the device.
The most notable change, however, is the introduction of a large, 6.1-inch OLED display. This marks the first instance of the now-renamed iPhone SE featuring an all-screen front and the first time it incorporates OLED technology.
