How to prepare a Well-Done Steak in Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom
In Monster Hunter Wilds, cooking meals can be done automatically, but preparing a Well-Done Steak requires your attention and timing. If you find yourself hungry during a hunt, the ideal dish to create is a Well-Done Steak.
However, locating the right timing to cook the ideal steak when using your Portable Grill may pose a challenge. Once you master it, you should be able to cook like a pro. Here's the proper way to prepare a Well-Done Steak in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How to grill a Well-Done Steak in Monster Hunter Wilds
Often, the simplest meals are the best to consume while hunting. You just need Raw Meat in your inventory along with your Portable BBQ Grill.
Step 1: Navigate through your item pouch to locate your Portable BBQ Grill. Take it out by pressing Square/X on the controller (E key on keyboard).
Step 2: If you have Raw Meat, your character will retrieve it and initiate the cooking minigame. To achieve perfect cooking, wait about a second after your hunter flips the meat, then press the interact button to complete the grilling.
Step 3: The next part requires you to slice your meat into five pieces, so timing is crucial. Keep in sync with the music and hit the interact button on the beat as your hunter begins to cut.
Step 4: If you grill and slice flawlessly, you will yield 12 Well-Done Steaks from that single piece of Raw Meat. If your timing is off, you may only receive six pieces. Incorrect cooking can also yield Rare Steak or Burnt Meat. The distinctions among these meat types are significant for the buffs they provide:
Rare Steak: Increases maximum health for a limited time and restores some health/stamina.
Well-Done Steak: Increases maximum health for a limited time and fully restores health/stamina.
Burnt Meat: Only restores some stamina.

Where to find Raw Meat
You'll need to acquire some Raw Meat before you can begin grilling steaks, which isn’t too difficult to find.
Hunt Small Monsters in the open areas. They are easier to take down than Large Monsters, and defeating them will provide you with Raw Meat. Additionally, you may sometimes receive Raw Meat as rewards from quests or ranks.

Capcom races to fix a game-breaking bug in Monster Hunter Wilds
Monster Hunter Wilds has become an incredible success, breaking Capcom's previous records for concurrent players on Steam and attracting many new hunters. Unfortunately, some players have encountered a bug that halts their progress in the main storyline, prompting Capcom to rush in issuing a fix.
In simple terms, the bug causes a necessary NPC to be absent. Instead of showing up where they are supposed to be, the NPC simply doesn’t appear, preventing further progression. However, if you’ve reached Chapter 5-3, you are unaffected and have no cause for concern.

Where to find iron in Monster Hunter Wilds
Any Monster Hunter Wilds player will tell you that knowing how crucial it is to consistently upgrade your gear is paramount. Unlike traditional RPGs, there are no levels; thus, the path to becoming stronger lies in forging better weapons and armor at the blacksmith. Like most games, better gear isn’t free; you’ll need money and raw materials. One of the initial materials you'll need is iron. Unlike monster parts, you must seek out iron deposits since they can’t be obtained from monsters. If you're unsure where to find this ore, here’s where to locate iron in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find iron
Iron is a very common resource in the starting area of Monster Hunter Wilds, Windward Plains, and it can also be found in Scarlet Forest. It appears as a large blue geode on the ground, identifiable by a blue icon on your map. To easily locate them on your map, open your map and access the Filter Icons menu. Turn off all filters except for the Mining Outcrop icons. Then, simply find an iron icon on your map, set a waypoint, and have your Seikret guide you there.
