NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Friday, February 28.
Strands is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times that offers a challenging twist on the traditional word search. To solve it, you'll need sharp observation skills. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can present difficulties on certain days. If you find yourself needing assistance, there's no need to feel embarrassed. If you're having trouble with today's Strands puzzle, you can refer to the solution provided below.
How to play Strands
In each Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the "theme words" concealed within the letter grid. You can rearrange the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; simply double-tap the last letter to confirm your choice. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be available for selection.
However, discovering words that are not theme words is still beneficial! For every three non-theme words with at least four letters that you find, you'll receive a hint — one of the letters from a theme word will be revealed, and you'll have to unscramble it.
Every letter in the grid is used to spell out the theme words without any overlaps. Each letter appears only once.
Every puzzle includes one “spangram,” which is a unique theme word (or words) representing the puzzle's theme and connects two opposite sides of the board. When you locate the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to complete the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.

Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is already competing with Mario Kart.
While the next Mario Kart installment may be released later this year, it will face some competition. Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is a new entry in the Sonic Racing series from Sonic Team and the developers behind the Initial D arcade game. It has just completed its first beta test, revealing gameplay elements that are truly out of this world.
I participated in the beta on PS5 last weekend, and I left feeling excited about its mind-bending races. I was amazed as I transitioned into another dimension during the second lap using a Warp Ring. Watching racers perform aerial tricks with their cars, reminiscent of Sonic Riders, was incredible. It reminded me of scenes from a Fast & Furious movie, where Dom and his crew leap from one highway to another to escape pursuers.
