Is a new iPad Air on the way? There's a notice about low stock levels.

It has been less than a year since the current iPad Air was released, yet a new version may be on the horizon. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman points out that stock for the popular tablet is running low, indicating a new model may be forthcoming. The 2024 iPad Air was launched in May 2024, unveiling a new 13-inch variant in addition to the standard 11-inch model. Both models showcase Liquid Retina displays that deliver vivid colors and crisp details, powered by the M2 chip, which enhances performance compared to the previous generation. There have been a few updates compared to the last model launched in 2022.
As we mentioned in January, the 2025 iPad Air is expected to be equipped with an M4 chip, the same chipset used in the iPad Pro (2024) and the entry-level MacBook Pro.
At the same time, Gurman described the upcoming iPad Air models as having more "specification upgrades than design changes."
The news of a new iPad Air arrives as Canalys reports a 9.2% increase in global tablet shipments for 2024. Apple remains the market leader, witnessing a 5.3% year-over-year increase in iPad sales. This growth is expected, given that Apple launched a new iPad Air last year along with updated iPad Pro and iPad mini models. It is also notable that Apple did not release a new tablet in 2023.
The current starting price for the iPad Air is $599.
In addition to a new iPad Air, Apple is anticipated to announce a new iPhone SE in the upcoming weeks. The entry-level phone last received an update in 2022.

Low demand for the iPad Pro might delay an OLED iPad Air until 2027
If you have been waiting for Apple to unveil an iPad Air featuring OLED technology, we have disappointing news. LG Display is shifting its OLED production focus away from the iPad Pro due to weak demand. According to The Elec (as reported by MacRumors), the production is being redirected toward creating iPhone displays, which may delay the release of the first OLED iPad Air.
The report states that LG Display aims to maintain its current production of iPad OLED inventory until the end of February. By that time, they hope Apple will permit them to transition the production to OLED panels for iPhones.
This new Belkin accessory turns your iPhone into a digital camera
The iPhone boasts a powerful built-in camera, but imagine transforming it into a proper digital camera that allows for capturing Ansel Adams-level photos all day. Belkin's latest accessory aims to achieve just that and we sincerely hope it is effective. The Stage Power Grip is designed ergonomically to assist in taking impressive shots while minimizing shake, and it was just announced at CES 2025.
Belkin plans to release the Stage Power Grip in May, though the exact date and price are still being finalized. It serves as both a shutter button for photos and a grip for stabilization. It attaches to your iPhone via MagSafe and includes a 10,000mAh power bank, plus a built-in USB-C cable for charging other devices (and your iPhone if necessary).
An Apple insider indicates a new iPad will arrive in spring 2025. Here's what we know
Apple did not unveil any new iPads in 2023, but this year has brought notable changes with the introduction of new iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro models. However, the standard iPad, which hasn't seen an update in nearly three years, is conspicuously missing from this list. This is expected to change soon. According to MacRumors, Apple plans to release an updated iPad alongside the iPhone SE 4 in spring 2025.
While there is limited information about the forthcoming iPad, several details have surfaced in recent months. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has suggested that the new tablet will support Apple Intelligence, similar to all iPads released in 2024. This implies that the 11th-generation iPad will likely be equipped with a newer A-series chip and a minimum of 8GB of RAM.
