According to a recent report, Samsung has experienced a more seamless development process with its Exynos 2600 chip compared to the Exynos 2500. Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S25’s launch, there were rumors that the phone might utilize either the Exynos 2500 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite, with various leaks generating conflicting details. A report from a South Korean news source now indicates that the company has reached a 30% yield from its manufacturing efforts.
Utilizing a 2-nanometer production method, the initial yields reportedly exceeded expectations, as noted by The Bell. Samsung aims to commence mass production of this chip in the latter half of the year, potentially enhancing performance by 12% and improving power efficiency by 25%.
The Exynos 2600 is intended for use in the forthcoming Galaxy S26. An anonymous official remarked, “The Exynos 2600 is progressing well. There are positive assessments of the Exynos product range both within and outside Samsung Electronics, but despite delays in the mass production of the Exynos 2500, the production of Exynos 2600 is likely to stay on track.”

Initially, the Galaxy S25 was expected to utilize the Exynos 2500; however, Samsung struggled to generate a sufficient number of functional yields for the chip. The efficiency of the chip is crucial. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chips are generally regarded as superior to Exynos chips, but producing components internally could lower costs for Samsung, which might benefit consumers.
The performance of the Exynos 2600 in comparison to Qualcomm’s chips remains uncertain, but if Samsung can offer similar power at a reduced price, it could enhance overall profitability.
