The price of the Google TV Streamer has quietly risen from $99 to $149—a substantial 50% jump—with the new price already reflected on the Google Store and Best Buy. Recently, Amazon raised prices for its Echo, Kindle, and Fire TV products, elevating the cost of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max from $59.99 to $84.99. At the moment, Amazon still lists the Google TV Streamer at its original price of $99, offering budget-minded consumers a brief opportunity before that price is likely updated as well. With both devices now more expensive, it might be worthwhile to reassess how the Google TV Streamer compares to the Apple TV 4K before making a final decision on which one suits your setup better. Even after this increase, Google’s device remains the less expensive option, which could be a pivotal consideration for many shoppers exploring their choices.
