TCL has created a 22-speaker soundbar designed to transform living rooms into movie theaters, but it will not be available in the US market.

Here’s a look at what’s inside TCL's new flagship Q95K soundbar, featuring Bang & Olufsen tuning and 360-degree sound technology.

I’ve experienced enough soundbars to recognize that most “360-degree audio” claims are mostly marketing hype masquerading as innovation. However, TCL's latest flagship might actually have the necessary hardware to validate that assertion.

The Q95K serves as TCL’s top-of-the-line soundbar, constructed around an 11.1.4 channel Hi-Fi setup and fine-tuned in partnership with Bang & Olufsen. To me, it appears to be a serious contender against high-end home theater systems.

So, what components are included in this device?

The system delivers 1420W of peak power through 22 individual speaker units. This impressive output is distributed across a main bar with seven horizontal channels, two overhead channels, and a subwoofer channel, along with wireless surround speakers that handle rear, rear-side, and rear-overhead audio.

This speaker configuration not only amplifies volume but also effectively creates a realistic sensation of sound enveloping the listener, particularly beneficial for movie watching.

The three-way acoustic design spans a frequency range from 30Hz to 20kHz while maintaining distortion below 1%. The use of neodymium magnets and aluminum diaphragms ensures clarity in mid and high frequencies.

Bass is delivered by a dual-engine subwoofer featuring opposing 7-inch drivers that help eliminate cabinet resonance, while 12 individual amplifier chips power each speaker, reducing crosstalk. These enhancements tackle the main challenges associated with high-powered soundbars: unclear bass and poor audio separation.

What about the rest of the lineup, and is it available for purchase?

TCL's 360-degree sound field technology depends on software that adapts via the TCL app depending on your room layout. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 with eARC, Wi-Fi 6, and AirPlay 2, and the floating base design allows for both desktop and wall-mounted configurations.

TCL has also introduced two smaller models: the Q85K (16 units, 1180W) and Q75K (14 units, 580W). Unfortunately, none of the soundbars are currently available in the United States, although the company does offer its flagship TVs and other audio products in that market.

All three models are currently exclusive to China, priced at 7,999 yuan (~$1,181), 5,999 yuan (~$886), and 4,699 yuan (~$694) respectively, with no confirmed global release at this time.

Lenovo has released a Bose-tuned set of Yoga headphones in the US that won't break the bank.

Lenovo has introduced a noise-cancelling headphone priced just under $200, targeted at users of its Yoga laptops. Named Headphone Yoga PC Edition, these headphones feature Bose-tuned audio, active noise cancellation, and a design aimed to complement Yoga devices.

Initially launched at CES 2026, the Cosmic Blue variant is now available for direct purchase from Lenovo in the US. Although designed to pair with Yoga PCs, the headphones also feature Bluetooth 5.3 and a 3.5mm input, enabling compatibility with phones, tablets, and computers from other manufacturers.

Your laptop camera might be fine for casual calls, but its limitations become apparent during presentations or job interviews.

When working on a laptop, the built-in webcam may suffice for quick chats with friends and family. However, its flaws are much more evident when delivering a project, interviewing for a position, or planning to stream. Laptop cameras often sit too low, particularly when placed directly on a desk, whereas a dedicated webcam allows you to position the camera closer to eye level, improving framing. A dedicated webcam typically features larger sensors, superior microphones, and enhanced low-light performance.

I yearn for a new classic Walkman, but Sony may find it challenging to deliver one.

The trend of tech minimalism is calling for a new Walkman, but recreating it may prove nearly impossible.

Every few months, a once-outdated device resurfaces and regains appeal. The minimalist movement has revived interest in iPods among younger consumers, while simpler phones provide a break from constant notifications. Meanwhile, digital cameras are making a comeback as well. Physical media continues to attract those who prefer tangible items over further subscription services.

This makes it an ideal time for Sony to revitalize the classic Walkman, which enjoyed immense popularity in the 80s and 90s. I would love to have one—a compact cassette player with physical buttons and wired headphones, free from apps, notifications, and algorithm-driven music curation. However, recreating the beloved Walkman would likely be much more complex than simply reissuing an old design.
