Asus' newest Zenbook features an exceptionally bright OLED display housed in an incredibly slim design.
The Zenbook 14 Air measures only 11mm in thickness, yet it incorporates a 77Wh battery.
Asus has launched a new AMD version of the Zenbook 14 Air 2026, featuring a vibrant OLED display and a sizable battery within a slim 11mm chassis. With a weight of 1.19kg, it remains firmly in the ultraportable category, even with the inclusion of the 77Wh battery.
The Zenbook 14 Air 2026 isn’t completely fresh. Asus previously released an Intel variant powered by the Core Ultra 9 386H in China last January. The latest iteration has transitioned to AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 H 445 and is priced at CNY 9,999, which is roughly $1,477 (via Notebookcheck).
The OLED display is a standout feature.
The 14-inch OLED screen boasts a resolution of 2880 x 1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate, promising significantly smoother text, scrolling, and animations compared to a typical 60Hz laptop. It can achieve a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, and with complete DCI-P3 coverage and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, it should enhance HDR movies, photo editing, and color-critical tasks. Asus also claims a response time of 0.2ms.

The 77Wh battery is a notable aspect of the design. Asus claims it can deliver approximately 25 hours of video playback, and USB-C charging can boost it from empty to 60% within 49 minutes. However, this endurance test was conducted on a Ryzen AI 9 465 configuration with 32GB of RAM, Wi-Fi disabled, and the display brightness set to 150 nits, so the actual battery life on the Ryzen AI 7 variant may differ.
The processor is less thrilling.
The Zenbook 14 Air is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 H 445 processor, combined with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD. Its Radeon 840M integrated graphics should handle office tasks, streaming, web browsing, and lighter gaming, but it may struggle with demanding editing software and modern gaming titles.
Asus has managed to include a practical range of ports despite the thin design. The laptop features two USB4 ports, one USB-A port, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack. Additional features include Wi-Fi 7 and four speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Asus has yet to announce plans for selling the AMD Zenbook 14 Air 2026 outside of China. The company already offers the similar Zenbook 14 UM3406GA globally, but that version has a less impressive OLED display and a slightly smaller 75Wh battery. Many consumers might prefer this Chinese model if it were to be made available internationally.
