Lessons in autonomy from realme

realme decided not to play with numbers on benchmarking treadmills but to think about the eternal. Well, at least about making sure that the smartphone doesn't die after half a day of active scrolling. The new P4 series includes three models: P4, P4x, and P4 Lite. They are united by one simple but good idea — endurance.

Forget about the overheated processor that turns the screen into a slideshow, and about the battery that starts to melt away after a year of charging. Here, the focus is on a cool chip, a huge energy reserve, and a 120 Hz refresh rate screen that really works smoothly, not just in commercials. The slogan "For the long haul" is not just words here, but a manifesto for those tired of outlets.

At the core of all three is modern silicon-carbon batteries that are not afraid of aging, and the ArmorShell armored case, which has passed military standard MIL-STD 810H testing. The difference between the models lies in the balance of components, design, and the owner's wallet. From flagship features to budget-friendly but tough "long-livers."

      realme P4: smoothness that lasts

The main hero of the series is about stability without compromises. Yes, 120 Hz is now available on many devices, but how often do those promised frames turn into a jerky soap opera as soon as the processor starts heating up? The P4 is designed to prevent this injustice. The six-inch AMOLED screen with insane brightness up to 4000 nits works in tandem with a cool six-nanometer chip and a cooling system with an area of 15,000 square millimeters. The frames flow smoothly, without overheating tantrums, and the 7000 mAh battery, along with the energy-efficient matrix, allows you to forget what "power-saving mode" means. Of course, this is not a gaming monster for heavy 3D games, and realme is honest about it — the budget processor remains budget. But in everyday life, social networks, and videos, it delivers that "silky" smoothness that doesn't fade away after a year or by the end of the day when the charge is already at zero.

The Titan battery here is not just large but has character. According to laboratory measurements, the charge will last for 11 hours in Mobile Legends, 10 hours in PUBG, or almost 9 hours in Free Fire. The 45W wired charging will bring the phone back to life in five minutes, while the 10W reverse charging will turn it into a power bank master for headphones. And most importantly — the battery is rated for 1600 cycles, meaning almost six years of service. In the first couple of years, it won't degrade like its usual lithium-polymer counterparts. By the way, the case is protected to IP69K standard and can withstand pressure up to 25 kg, so you can confidently sit on the phone. The models will be available in purple or green.

realme P4x: record battery in its budget

If the P4 can be considered the flagship of the series, then the P4x is the "long-liver" of the series. Its goal is to pack the largest battery into the budget segment. And it succeeds: 8000 mAh is more than most competitors under 20,000 rubles, not counting the hefty "extreme" smartphones that resemble bricks. Games? About ten hours of continuous action. Regular life? Two days without an outlet. Moreover, the battery ages even slower than its older brother — it retains over 94% capacity after two years. It also charges at 45W, and five minutes is enough for an hour of battles in Free Fire. You can also share energy with others, though not as generously.

The display here is just as large — 6.8 inches with 120 Hz, and the HyperSignal antenna system won't let the video freeze in the subway or at the stadium. The Unisoc T7250 platform has a smaller cooling system than the flagship, but it performs well for its tasks. The 50-megapixel camera with AI algorithms, the case meets the MIL-STD 810H standard and IP64 protection, and it can withstand falls from heights of up to two meters. The smartphone's case is available in blue or beige, and it will be a good option for those who count every milliamp.

realme P4 Lite: thin "long-liver" at an affordable price

The younger brother who doesn't want to seem younger. The most affordable smartphone in the series, but also the thinnest in its class with a 7000 mAh battery — just 8.38 mm thick and weighing 208 grams. One charge lasts for a day and a half, or even more. In games — 12 hours, in videos — 21 hours, in social networks — a full 28 hours. And even after six years, the battery will retain over 80% capacity, which sounds simply fantastic for the budget segment. True, the charging here is only 15W, but that's not a problem — five minutes is enough for an hour of video viewing.

The 6.8-inch screen with 120 Hz and DC Dimming technology is for those who dislike flickering. The Unisoc T7250 processor with graphite cooling maintains a stable 60 frames per second in popular games. The HyperSignal antenna system boosts the signal by up to 85%, which is especially relevant in subways and dead corners. The case, of course, is not as armored as the older models, but it has also passed 320 durability tests and 14,000 micro-drop tests. It is a very worthy candidate for the role of a daily workhorse. The case color is purple or gray.

      Design, gaming, and AI

The older models P4 and P4x feature a racing design called Aero Racing with references to motorsport and a fun AI Pulse Light indicator on the back panel. Nine colors and five pulsation speeds respond to notifications, calls, and music. The P4 Lite, of course, is simpler, but it has its own futuristic chic. For gamers, all smartphones come with an AI assistant that optimizes performance and network in five stages. And bypass charging during gaming reduces heating and prolongs battery life. All models run on realme UI based on Android 16 with a set of NEXT AI neural networks — smart eraser, clarity enhancement, and "Draw and Find" function included.

      ArmorShell Protection

And the last but not least feature is shock resistance. This is achieved not just by thick glass but by a thoughtful ArmorShell case architecture. The reinforced chassis, strengthened corners, and shock-absorbing inserts inside work like airbags for the motherboard and other fragile components. Combined with MIL-STD 810H certification and water protection (IP69K for P4 and IP64 for the younger models), this means that the smartphones are designed for real life, not museum conditions. Drop it, throw it, don't be afraid — they will survive.
