Apple has recently increased the prices of its products by several hundred dollars.
For months, the memory crisis was perceived as a problem for everyone else, but Apple seemed unaffected. While manufacturers of smartphones and laptops quickly conceded, increasing prices across their entry-level and flagship models, Apple remained steadfast, managing to absorb costs through long-term supplier agreements that provided it with an advantage most other brands lacked.
Unfortunately, it seems the situation has worsened. Earlier today, the Cupertino giant adjusted the prices for several products, including the MacBooks, iPads, and Mac Studio.

**What did Apple say regarding the price increase?**
In a statement to Reuters, Apple mentioned that it has never experienced such a drastic rise in component prices in such a brief period. "We have successfully shielded our customers from these increases until now, but we have reached a point where we must start raising prices on several products."
The company also stated that it is diligently working to find solutions, though it appears there may not be one in the near term. Numerous analysts and industry executives have recognized the memory crunch, suggesting that memory prices might not decrease until 2027.
Of all the products, the iPhone is the only one that has not seen a price adjustment. However, reports have indicated that a price increase for the iPhone 18 Pro may be on the horizon later this year. With the launch in the fall approaching, many are watching to see if Apple can maintain the starting prices for one of the most popular smartphone lineups ever.
