Tecno's EllaClaw AI assistant aims to organize your phone and handle your tasks.

Most AI assistants enjoy conversing with you, but they seldom get involved in completing tasks. Tecno aims to change this with EllaClaw, its beta-phase mobile AI agent designed to perform real tasks on your phone rather than just respond to inquiries. The company showcased the latest version of EllaClaw, which now delves deeper into your device and your favorite applications.
Frustrated by a sluggish, overly hot phone that drains your battery? EllaClaw provides a solution.
EllaClaw boasts over 40 Smart Skills that enable it to serve as a caretaker for your device. You can instruct it to clear RAM and CPU to alleviate lag, identify apps that are consuming your battery, or cool down your phone when it overheats during intense use.

Additionally, it features a Smart Data Guardian that monitors your mobile data usage, which is a considerate addition for those who often run out of data before the month is up. Before implementing significant changes, EllaClaw will consult you, ensuring transparency.

It can also adapt to your habits over time, utilizing that data to assist with daily tasks. You can request morning summaries that include your calendar, weather, and news, or have it serve as a trip assistant to arrange rides and set departure reminders.
What else can it do?
EllaClaw also operates across various applications, including shopping, food delivery, transportation, and smart home services. Instead of functioning like an opaque black box, it navigates your apps in an apparent, human-like manner, allowing you to monitor each step of the process.
Currently, EllaClaw remains an exploratory concept in closed beta. As Jack Guo, General Manager of Tecno, stated, the objective is to simplify “everyday tasks, minimize friction, and make advanced experiences more accessible, while prioritizing transparency and user control.”

The company promises more details will emerge as development progresses. It stands out as one of the few smartphone AI agents that genuinely seems to aid users instead of causing frustration. I’m eager to see it transition out of beta so I can evaluate its functionality in real-world scenarios.

These Prime Day charger deals are the ones I’d recommend before prices go back up
Prime Day offers significant discounts on charging products from Anker, Ugreen, and Belkin.
Prime Day is an excellent opportunity to enhance your charging setup, particularly if you’re still using outdated power bricks, slow chargers, or separate chargers for each device. This year’s promotions include compact GaN chargers, robust laptop adapters, workstation-friendly charging stations, and foldable stands for phones, earbuds, and wearables. While I wouldn't purchase every discounted charger, these are the offers I'd genuinely consider for a tidier desk, improved travel kit, or faster everyday charging.
