A Samsung leak suggests a variety of stylish colors for the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may be available in a playful array of colors, whereas the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature darker finishes.
According to a new report from Digital Citizen, Samsung's upcoming foldable phones will likely have a surprisingly diverse selection of colors and storage options. It appears that Samsung is not limiting choices for its next high-end foldables. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is rumored to come in Cream, Graphite, Mint, and Pink, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 might be available in Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Pistachio. The premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is said to be offered in Cream, Graphite, Green Shadow, and Violet Shadow.
All three models seem to share Cream and Graphite as neutral options, while Mint and Pink could add a brighter, more playful vibe to the Flip 8. Lavender is not a new color for Samsung, but if handled correctly, Pistachio might stand out on the Fold 8. The Shadow finishes appear to be deeper shades of green and violet, but without rendered images, the exact appearance of these colors remains uncertain.
Samsung is also expected to provide a variety of storage options. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may be offered with configurations of 256GB and 512GB, while both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions.
This is notable as many smartphone manufacturers are reducing the number of configurations due to increasing RAM and storage costs. Since Samsung's upcoming foldable models will fall into the premium segment, the company seems to be maintaining a broad range of options.
The naming convention for the Fold 8 lineup is becoming clearer. The three-model setup has been rumored for several months, and this report lends further credence to that expectation. The more premium model will likely be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra with the model number SM-F976B, while the shorter model may simply be named Galaxy Z Fold 8 (SM-F971B), rather than the previously speculated Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide.
Although Samsung has yet to confirm a launch date for these foldables, rumors suggest a release could occur in the second half of July. Previous reports have indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may finally feature a more useful cover display, although significant upgrades in charging speeds may not be expected. The Fold 8, which is anticipated to be the focal point of this launch cycle, is rumored to sport a tablet-like inner display, though it might lack top-tier camera components.
