With its impending launch in China this month, Vivo has revealed significant details concerning the camera and display of the Vivo X Fold 6.

The device will also incorporate a ZEISS APO Super Telephoto lens utilizing Sony’s LYT-602 sensor. The cameras will operate with Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, enhancing image processing and video recording capabilities.

      Vivo has been heavily focused on mobile photography over recent years, particularly with its X-series flagship devices, and the X Fold 6 continues this trend of prioritizing high-quality mobile photography. Telephoto converter lenses have become a staple in Chinese Ultra flagship smartphones, like the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra, with the X Fold 6 appearing to join this trend. The teaser hints at a 200mm ZEISS teleconverter kit that promises to make zoom photography more enjoyable.

Current speculation suggests that its first foldable may only feature a wide and ultrawide rear camera arrangement, lacking a dedicated telephoto lens. This gives Vivo a noticeable advantage in camera technology.

      The X Fold 6 is also confirmed to include an 8.02-inch inner display that utilizes Samsung’s M14 luminous material, achieving an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits for outdoor use, dropping to 1 nit for nighttime viewing. Vivo has also teased a more rounded design, featuring a 2.5D vertical metal frame and a new Blue Hole color option. Previous confirmations indicate that it will be powered by a Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip and support desktop mode, while a 7,000mAh battery remains unconfirmed. Unfortunately, global availability still raises questions, although a release in China appears imminent.
