AI Mode on Google Search now allows users to create search agents.

Google has begun to introduce AI Search agents that can continuously scan the web for users and send updates when pertinent information is available. This feature was initially revealed at Google I/O 2026 as part of a broader update to Google’s AI Mode, which included a revamped search box, Gemini 3.5 Flash, personal intelligence capabilities, and new tools for building mini apps and dashboards.

The new feature, termed information agents, caters to searches that extend beyond a single answer. Instead of repeatedly checking the same query, users can request Google to monitor a topic in the background.

How Google’s AI Search agents operate

Information agents function within AI Mode in Google Search. Users can input requests for Google to track a specific topic, product, event, price, score, or development. The agent continuously scans various sources, such as web content, financial information, sports scores, and social media updates.

Information agents in Search are currently accessible in all AI Mode languages and markets for Google AI Ultra subscribers.       For instance, a user might request Google to monitor flight prices, keep track of a product launch, follow job openings for a specific role, watch housing listings, or stay updated on a developing news story. When a significant change occurs, Google can issue a notification through the Google app.

This feature offers more flexibility than traditional alerts as requests can be made in natural language. Users aren’t confined to using exact keywords. When new information emerges, Google provides a brief summary of the updates or changes related to the user's query, along with pertinent links for further exploration.

Who can access this feature and how to find it

At I/O 2026, Google indicated that information agents would initially roll out for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. The current launch seems to be commencing with AI Ultra users in AI Mode, which starts at $99.99 per month.

To utilize this feature, users need to access AI Mode in Google Search and request to monitor a topic. This can be triggered by using phrases such as “keep me updated on” or “alert me when” in the prompt window. Once set up, the agent can be managed from AI Mode history, allowing users to modify or cease tracking.

The feature appears beneficial, though it requires real-world testing to determine its actual effectiveness.

Apple has made Liquid Glass adjustable, indicating a shift in its design approach.

The new slider feature is a useful and somewhat amusing addition after a year in which Apple presented transparency as the clear future. In iOS 27, users can adjust the translucency of the Liquid Glass effect, while macOS Golden Gate introduces its own Liquid Glass settings under System Preferences.

Liquid Glass remains prominent across Apple’s platforms, continuing to enhance menus and panels and maintain the elegant user interface that Apple favors. This major design decision has now incorporated a dimmer switch. After a year of promoting translucency as the evident next step, WWDC's most revealing update may be the introduction of user control over its intensity.

Windows 11 has resolved one of Search’s most frustrating limitations, enhancing user experience.

It’s one fewer character to worry about and one less source of annoyance whenever you search your PC.

If you've ever entered two letters into the Windows 11 search box, paused, and noticed nothing useful appeared until you typed more characters, you understand the significance of this update.

Microsoft's June 2026 Patch Tuesday update, described by Windows Latest as the largest of the year, quietly addresses this issue. Windows Search can now locate and prioritize files with just two characters, down from the previous three-character requirement.

Brazil’s secret World Cup strategy has taught the team when to disregard data insights.

Data indicated a player wasn’t running enough, but video evidence showed he was always positioned perfectly.

Brazil boasts the most World Cup titles, with five in total; however, after five consecutive tournaments without adding to that tally, the team is heavily relying on data this time around.

Each player wears a sensor-rich "smart vest" that tracks field position via GPS, heart rate, and a statistic known as "player load," similar to the metrics from fitness trackers like Whoop or Apple Watch, but specifically tailored for soccer.
