The streaming service has revealed Dealies, a new adult animated workplace comedy that takes place in the most wonderfully chaotic big box store in America.

      The series, created by Joe Bennett and Ted Travelstead, is expected to be available on Netflix in 2027.

      What is Dealies about?

      The official description sets an appropriate tone for this animated show: “A gifted salesperson. A gentle warrior. A soft-spoken talent. A conjurer of the extraordinary. And the unfortunate individual who employs them. All members of the staff at Dealies, a big box store. They are adept at the subtle art of trade. Visionaries of commerce. And sometimes they manage to do some actual work.”

      It is a 2D animated series that focuses on the daily mayhem of what the show refers to as a supernatural superstore, indicating that this will not be a typical workplace sitcom. No specific release date has been announced beyond the 2027 timeline.

      The creative team behind Dealies has an impressive track record

      Joe Bennett co-created Scavengers Reign, the artistically striking sci-fi series that initially aired on HBO Max before transitioning to Netflix, where it unfortunately did not receive a renewal despite critical acclaim.

      Following that, he worked on another underrated series, Common Side Effects on Adult Swim. This darkly humorous conspiracy comedy follows two former lab partners on the run from both the DEA and Big Pharma. The show has already received a second season renewal.

      Ted Travelstead previously held the role of executive story editor on The Great North and has contributed to various projects from Illumination. Dealies is produced by Green Street Pictures, the studio Bennett co-founded, which has been behind all of his major projects.

      With the legacy of Scavengers Reign and the continued success of Common Side Effects, Dealies comes with significant momentum and high expectations.
