Players on PS4 and Xbox One will soon be removed from Call of Duty: Warzone.
Current PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to access Warzone until the conclusion of Black Ops 7 Season 06.

Call of Duty fans on previous-generation consoles are facing challenges. Initially, Activision revealed that the upcoming Call of Duty, now identified as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, won’t be available on PS4 and Xbox One. Now, the company is also phasing out Call of Duty: Warzone from both older consoles.
The publisher has announced that support for Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One will gradually be reduced and will cease later this year. The first phase starts on June 4, when Warzone will be removed from the digital storefronts on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After this date, new downloads will be unavailable on either platform.
Warzone's exit from last-gen starts in June
Players who already have Warzone in their library can still install and play the game for a limited time. Activision states that the game will remain playable on PS4 and Xbox One until the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

The next major change will occur on June 25, when the in-game store for Warzone will be taken down from both last-gen consoles. COD Points can still be redeemed in the store until that time, and gameplay will continue to contribute toward Battle Pass progression. Players without the paid Battle Pass can still access free-tier rewards, including new weapons, during the remaining Black Ops 7 seasons.
The final cutoff will take place with the start of Modern Warfare 4 Season 1. Once that season begins, Warzone will no longer be accessible on PS4 or Xbox One.
Upgrading may be a tough choice for PS4 users
For PlayStation gamers, the timing is less than ideal. Sony's Days of Play 2026 sale is underway, but the PS5 itself doesn't seem to be on sale. The silver lining is that players who upgrade can still take advantage of discounts on PS5 games, accessories, and PlayStation Plus memberships while the sale lasts until June 10.
Activision has stated that players will retain their Warzone progress if they transition to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC using the same linked Activision account. Items purchased with COD Points will also transfer. However, any unused COD Points will remain tied to the respective console family, allowing PS4 players to use them on PS5 and Xbox One players to use them on Xbox Series X|S.
Warzone provided PS4 and Xbox One players with an extended period of access after the advent of current-gen consoles. That period is nearing its end, and anyone wishing to continue playing Call of Duty’s battle royale after this season will need to upgrade to newer hardware soon.
