With the introduction of the MacBook Neo, the situation became even more challenging, as Apple emerged as a surprisingly viable choice for those seeking an entry-level notebook.

      Now, Chuwi is keeping Windows relevant with its latest UniBook. This new budget model is a 14-inch laptop that has managed to underprice the MacBook Neo.

      What sets it apart

      The UniBook is powered by Intel’s Core 3 304, an entry-level Wildcat Lake processor featuring 5 cores and 5 threads, with clock speeds reaching up to 4.3GHz and a basic Xe3 integrated GPU. While it isn’t intended for gaming or serious creative work, it is designed for everyday tasks, including work, browsing, writing, streaming, and educational activities.

      Chuwi combines this processor with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256GB PCIe 3.0 SSD, matching the base MacBook Neo in specifications while being priced at approximately $449. In contrast, Apple’s MacBook Neo starts at $599 ($499 for students), featuring a 13-inch display, an A18 Pro chip, and impressive battery life. Thus, Chuwi is positioning the UniBook directly against Apple’s MacBook Neo, offering a lower price, more ports, and a larger screen.
