OnePlus has released Nord CE6 and Pad 4 in Russia.

The company OnePlus showcased two new devices in Russia. On one side, the smartphone Nord CE6, and on the other, the tablet Pad 4. They share a common desire to look serious, but with a flair of the youthful Nord series.

The Nord CE6 features a 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The bezels are only 1.65 mm – one can confidently say that they are almost non-existent. In sunlight, the picture remains readable, and in the evening, the screen tries to protect your eyes. No one promises miracles, but the eye protection technologies are in place.

Inside the smartphone is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, aided by a separate chip for touch response. The claimed touch response frequency is 3200 Hz – how noticeable this is outside the lab is a big question. However, in games and while scrolling through the interface, as promised, there should be no delays. The smartphone is capable of delivering up to 144 frames per second, provided the application supports it.

The main feature of the Nord CE6 is a 7500 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims it will last for two and a half days of calm usage. The device charges via an 80-watt SUPERVOOC charger. Ten minutes at the outlet provides an hour and a half of gaming. Additionally, there is a bypass charging feature that heats the phone less while you battle monsters. After five years, the battery should retain at least 80% of its capacity.

The cameras come without surprises. The main one is 50 megapixels with dual-axis optical stabilization. The front camera is 32 MP with autofocus. It can shoot 4K video, night modes, and portraits. Nothing revolutionary, but enough for social media.

The phone is made in a flat body that is 7.7 mm thick, very similar to the flagship OnePlus 15 – hinting that you are almost like with a flagship, but cheaper. The model is released in Fresh Blue and Pitch Black colors. However, the smartphone's protection may slightly confuse an unprepared buyer: the Nord CE6 received protection according to IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, which guarantees resistance to dust, immersion in water, and exposure to hot water jets under pressure. There is also Aqua Touch 2.0 – the screen responds to wet and greasy fingers.

      Tablet for work and games

The OnePlus Pad 4 is a device designed as a good tablet for work and gaming. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with 12 GB (LPDDR5X type) of RAM, and the built-in memory reaches 512 GB UFS 4.1.

Additionally, the tablet has a 13.2-inch display with a resolution of 3.4K, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and Dolby Vision support. The picture is vivid, 12-bit, with a brightness of up to 1000 nits. The aspect ratio is 7:5. The company claims that this is convenient for documents and web pages, which sounds plausible.

A specially developed cooling system is called Cryo-Velocity. The vapor chamber in it occupies 40,000 square millimeters plus a lot of graphite. This should help during long gaming sessions and video editing. After all, the tablet, even under serious load, should not turn into a frying pan.

The device's battery is 13,380 mAh — impressive. The manufacturer promises up to 20 hours of video playback, up to seven hours of gaming, and 54 days in standby mode. The same 80 W charger as in the smartphone can be used for charging.

The software part is the most interesting. OxygenOS 16 is packed with various AI tools. It includes AI Writer for texts, AI Summary for article retelling, AI Translate for on-the-fly translation, and AI Recorder with transcription. The set is typical for a modern tablet, but it works right out of the box. Multitasking allows opening multiple windows, resizing them, dragging files, connecting external drives, and even using the tablet as a second screen for a laptop.

Eight speakers with spatial sound should be enough for watching movies and listening to music. Another important point is the TÜV Rheinland Smart Eye Care 5.0 certification. Seven eye protection technologies, including blue light reduction and DC Dimming. Day and night, your eyes will tire less, if the documents are to be believed.

Stylus as a gift, but only for the quick

For the tablet, a proprietary OnePlus Stylo Pro was released. Tactilely, it feels just like an ordinary pencil drawing on paper. Moreover, the stylus supports AI functions, such as AI circle-to-extract – you outline a fragment, and the tablet extracts it. It is positioned as a device intended not only for drawing but also for everyday work.

From May 18 to 22, when purchasing the tablet, the stylus is given away for free. After that, it will have to be purchased separately.

Internet shutdowns become a risk for the digital economy

Russia has been actively transitioning businesses online for several years. Banks, cash registers, insurance, trade, delivery, document flow, public services, corporate services, and client applications have become a familiar part of modern life. But now it has become clear that this digital infrastructure has a switch.

Overall, OnePlus has brought predictably powerful devices with huge batteries, various degrees of protection, and a moderate amount of AI to Russia. Without pompous words like "best" and "unique," it sells already proven, faster, and more reliable devices.
