      However, the core audio specifications remain the same. You still get 48kHz, 24-bit recording, automatic limiting, two-level noise cancellation, and a comparable 11.5-hour battery life on the transmitter.

      The wireless range still exceeds 1,312 feet, and there is no on-mic redundant recording. However, DJI has hinted at a Mic Mini 2S that will feature internal recording and support for up to four transmitters, set to arrive later this summer.

      Is the Mic Mini 2 a worthwhile purchase?

      If you already own the original Mic Mini and it's functioning well, this isn't an urgent upgrade. That said, the launch price is around 40% lower than that of the original Mic Mini, making it an attractive option for potential buyers.

      The DJI Mic Mini 2 starts at €59 for a bundle with a single transmitter and mobile receiver, while the kit with two transmitters for cameras will be priced at €99.

      One unfortunate drawback: similar to the Osmo Pocket 4, DJI currently has no plans to release the Mic Mini 2 in the US due to its FCC certification status. For those outside the US, it is available now and worth considering.
