One of the top films currently available on Amazon Prime Video is also one that didn’t gain much attention in theaters. Crime 101 underperformed at the box office, despite having the right cast, script, and direction to truly please audiences.
Chris Hemsworth plays Mike Davis, a meticulous jewel thief whose expertly executed heists on LA’s 101 Freeway have left the LAPD at a loss. Mark Ruffalo portrays the detective who's gradually piecing the clues together, and Halle Berry is the insurance agent caught up in both men's lives. Directed by Bart Layton and inspired by Don Winslow’s novella, this thrilling narrative is a clever comparison to Heat.
