MSI introduces a multitude of laptops featuring graphics up to RTX 5090 and Intel Arrow Lake processors.
MSI's most significant laptop launch of the year features five product families, the latest high-performance mobile processors from Intel, and Nvidia's most potent gaming GPUs to date.
MSI has demonstrated that subtlety is overrated. The Taiwanese manufacturer has conducted a comprehensive refresh, introducing over a dozen new gaming laptops across its Cyborg, Crosshair, Raider, Stealth, and Titan series.
These models include 15-inch, 16-inch, and 18-inch sizes, ensuring that there's an option for every gamer or professional, leaving few reasons for buyers to avoid upgrading this year.
What’s new in these machines?
MSI's new lineup is driven by Intel’s recently released Arrow Lake-HX Plus chips, particularly the Core Ultra 9 290HZ Plus. Other brands like Acer, Asus, and Dell have already launched laptops featuring these processors. MSI may be late to the game, but it arrives fully equipped.
Among the new MSI laptops, eight models, including the Raider 16 Max HX, Raider 18 Max HX, Stealth 18 HX, and Titan 18 HX, are powered by the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus chipset. They also boast a variety of high-performance GPUs, such as the RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090.
Notably, the Crosshair 16 Max HX is the first laptop to include Nvidia's upcoming 12GB RTX 5070 laptop GPU. Additionally, the Raider 16 Max HX, showcased at CES 2026, offers a total system power of 300W, with 175W sourced solely from the GPU.
Do budget gamers need to pay attention?
Certainly. MSI has refreshed the Crosshair 16 HX with older Intel 14th-generation processors and RTX 5050/5060/5070 GPUs. The entry-level Cyborg 15 series is also back with approachable specifications.
Although MSI hasn't disclosed pricing yet, the lineup appears to cover a wide range of segments, likely from mid-range to premium laptops. It seems to me that the launch occurred under competitive pressure, as I'm finding it challenging to keep track of all the models and their specifications.

Microsoft leaks hint at an undeniable issue: The Surface line lacks a response to the MacBook Neo.
The MacBook Neo is outpacing Chromebooks, budget Windows devices, and Surface models, and a leaked Microsoft roadmap indicates that no one has a viable answer currently.
Microsoft is planning a phased release of new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro models. While the Intel-based versions may arrive this spring, the Snapdragon X2 models are expected in the summer, reportedly due to supply chain issues.
Millions of Americans are consulting AI about their health, some dangerously forgoing real medical advice.
Currently, one in four Americans seeks health advice from AI, a trend that raises significant concerns.
Previously, Google was the preferred resource for individuals looking to understand their health issues. However, there’s a notable shift towards using AI for health inquiries. Research from the West Health-Gallup Center on Healthcare in America reveals that roughly one in four US adults has utilized an AI tool or chatbot for health information or advice. These findings come from a nationally representative survey of over 5,500 adults conducted from October to December 2025.
Windows Recall still poses a risk to your private PC history.
A new tool targets Recall after signing in, sparking fresh concerns for anyone relying on Microsoft's privacy measures.
Windows Recall was designed to simplify the search of your PC history, but a new proof of concept is challenging that promise. TotalRecall Reloaded demonstrates that information gleaned from the Windows 11 feature can still be intercepted post-sign in, despite Microsoft having revised its protections following last year's criticism.
