HUAWEI nova 15

      MTS has announced the start of pre-orders for the new HUAWEI nova 15 Pro and nova 15 smartphones. According to the description, the lineup is aimed at those who love taking portraits, are open to befriending artificial intelligence, and wish to charge their phone as infrequently as possible.

      MTS retail network head Andrey Gubanov noted that HUAWEI smartphones are performing well in Russia. For example, the previous nova 14 series, released in October, has shown a month-to-month sales growth of 90 percent. The company hopes that the nova 15 will continue this trend.

      What’s interesting about these phones?

      Cameras. In the nova 15 Pro, both the main and front cameras feature lenses with a certain ultra-realistic color reproduction module. The technology uses up to 1.5 million spectral channels across nine color ranges. It sounds impressive, but in practice, this should mean that shades and details will be more true to reality.

      Portrait photography, as intended, should yield results reminiscent of studio shots. Thanks to the 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, it is promised that even fine details and the natural texture of the face will be preserved, but without excessive glamorous blurring.       Design. Youthful and minimalist. The Pro version has an aluminum body, while the regular one is made of composite material. Both options are covered with Kunlun Glass with SGS protection certification. The higher model's coating is also more resistant to scratches. The thickness of the Pro body is 6.9 mm, while the regular one is 7.2 mm, so the smartphone will be noticeable in your pocket, but it won't be uncomfortable to carry.

      The screens impress with brightness up to 4000 nits peak and a typical 1600 nits.

      Battery. The nova 15 Pro has a 6500 mAh battery, while the regular one has a 6000 mAh. Plus, there’s HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging at 100 watts. You won’t have to charge it as often, and if you do, the charging process will be quite fast.

      Artificial intelligence is also always at work. It helps select the best shot from a series, remove unnecessary objects from photos, and even understands gestures, allowing you to scroll through pages and screenshots without touching the screen. The devices have added two-way noise cancellation for calls, so the person on the other end hears you, not the noise outside.

      Overall, they are decent smartphones.
